Long Game 109: The Lords of Luthadel
Hoid Slayer replied to TwinStorm's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Interesting thinking I disagree Mainly because I am often guilty of lurking myself It’s possible for a person to have time to log on the Shard, but not enough time to make a meaningful post; although, in my case, I try to at least let my teammates know when that happens with a quick pop-in But I appreciate the intent Ooh a response Is this your first SE game, Akimiko? (also can I just call you that? - your name’s kinda long) -
... Well, that only worried Weaver more. This other man was far too complacent. Something was wrong. His breathing quickened, and he picked up the pace until he burst out into the central bar.

Long Game 109: The Lords of Luthadel

To those of you who have chosen to watch and not interfere - how exactly do you plan to gather information? Book, I get what you're trying to say; but do you have any other alternative? Reads can only be made once people start doing stuff. The larger the database we can build, the better. Renalis Book, you're right. Poke votes are often weak because a single vote, without evidence, will never be dangerous. So let's introduce some chaos. Let's apply some pressure. Also not loving this post the most, but I guess I'm biased -
Alright idk what’s been going on here but *squeeze* to everyone It’s ok You don’t need to go into details *squeeze* Awww the Hawksies is mad *pat pat*

Long Game 109: The Lords of Luthadel
Hoid Slayer replied to TwinStorm's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Alright! At last, we are here! Finally! It's so great to finally get started! (I'll stop now) Lord Markus heard the gates slam behind him as he paced down the corridor to the assembly room, and disregarded them. He was late. They were already speaking when he entered, and he noticed several eyes flitting in his direction as he made his way to his seat. But he paid them no mind. He was here on a mission. Lord Markus ignored the Lords surrounding him... ignored the presentation Elend was giving before him... and opened his briefcase, pulling out a quill and a paper. And began to write. Alright, I need to go to sleep cause I've already stayed up late enough to wait for this as it is. Essay for @TwinStorm, as promised (I'm a man of my word ) (it's more of a stylized rant than an essay, but you're not my english teacher so I think you'll survive) Let the man cook -

Under his mask, Weaver smiled a dark grin. "Ooooorganized crime!" he proclaimed in an exaggerated tone. "Of course! And you!" He waved the knife at the other masked man, no longer held in a threatening pose. "I've seen your like. Let me guess. Assassin? High body count? Someone dangerous?" @Sherma Main He stepped back, and took a second to recover his breath and calm down, before addressing the pair. "Can't you see? We've been played! For all we know, this place is rigged with Vextech bombs, and those who brought us here are merely waiting to exit the strike zone. Well, I won't wait." He stood up straight, an imposing figure, and spoke in a commanding tone that didn't betray the feelings in his head. "You can stay here, and leave your fate at the mercy of others. Or you can follow me." And with that, he turned his back on the room and began to stroll back out the way he had come in.
-
"Alright". Well, that answer didn't satisfy Weaver. His frustration grew, and at last, he made a decision. Almost trembling from fear, but convinced, Weaver walked up until he stood nearly directly before the man, and pulled out his knife. He held it before the other man's chest, and growled. "Tell me who you are. Now."
-
Hmm... We'll see I only really made this one cause I had all the thoughts running in my head; I haven't read tWoK in a while, so it would take some more effort, but it could be a fun project! Nope Yeahhh I mean I could send an email
-
"Captors until proven otherwise." For a second, Weaver worried he'd said something wrong, but continued to look around for anything else in the room. It was weird for them to be left alone in here; he didn't like it.
-
"Well," Weaver rubbed his hands, "it seems we are alone here. Now, I might be taking a leap in logic here guessing that you all were summoned similarly as I, but if the case is so, then I'd rather not be held in an isolated room by unknown captors." Weaver looked around the room, seeking any other possible exits. Underneath the façade he was putting up, he was sweating, and beginning to wish he'd brought something more effective than a single dagger. He had told Therin and Elydir of his location, and assumed someone was keeping track of him, but hadn't coordinated any way to signal he was in danger - something he was now regretting as a pit rose in his chest.

THANK YOU I honestly don't know how that would work, but if would be beyond incredible for this to reach Brandon somehow Although I don't really know if Chaos has a better relationship with Brandon than like any of us; he's just the one in charge of the forums, but they aren't directly associated with Dragonsteel

For a while, Weaver waited for someone else to make the first move. But no one did, and in the awkward silence, he at last took a leap of faith. "Greetings." He nodded at the two others in turn, heart beating in his chest. Then he turned to the man he had followed in. "Would you care to explain why we are here?" He was so focused on the events in the room he didn't notice the bar outside go silent.
-
First: Then run. Not, like, away, but run. Ask your parents if you can go outside, and go for a run. You can just run down the street, run back, or take a break somewhere and just breath for a while. Run all you need to. I’m serious; it helps. So we’re back here Well, their behavior is real annoying They’re clearly trying to understand, but clinging too much to who they want you to be rather than who you are You can be mad about it now. You can be mad about it all you want. But also… what specifically is the problem? Is something happening right now, or are you just releasing pent up feelings from the past? Because if it’s the latter, then what’s the point in suffering now? There isn’t one. The way things are isn’t right. The past is not, and will never be, okay. But we cannot change it. As for current events… talk. Talk to them. Talk to someone else. Your parents seem like good people; so they’re not a lost cause. I know it takes work. But things can get better. Right now, though, be mad all you want. Get it out of your system. And then go back, and try to make things better. Ooh Well, let’s try not to punch people Is this person worth your time?

Nightblood not being a threat to Retribution
Hoid Slayer replied to Creation's topic in Stormlight Archive
The fact that Nightblood is clearly around for the good guys quite a bit after the end of the book. He is one of the two witnesses used for the in-world Knights of Wind and Truth, which was written by a clearly older Szeth’s wife (I forgot her name). -
Ahh, ok Well, I’d appreciate his feedback!
-
Idk what your English teacher has to do with this, but thanks?

Long Game 109: The Lords of Luthadel
Hoid Slayer replied to TwinStorm's topic in Sanderson Elimination
That'll definitely be enough Don't worry; everyone here was a new player at some point. And for Long Games, you generally don't need to be as active as in other formats (obviously, there's the whole word count mechanic, but you don't need to worry about that - and it's better for me if you don't ) Just join, try things out, have fun, kill some people, and hopefully come back for more games! OMG Coder you're making progress More progress than I am in making my IRL friends and family read Sanderson- 312 replies

Weaver did so, looking around cautiously as they strolled out of the main room. But no one paid them any attention as they made their exit. As they began to walk the new dark passageway, Weaver couldn't help but notice that this was the same way the other masked man had gone. They were nearing the end of the hallway when he realized he had left behind his drink.
