If I were to ask the Judge, I would probably get a lecture on unholy thoughts.” He shivered. “That man scares me. No, the only person other than Aeia who might give me truth in the matter is Waela, but she… well, her words have two sides. A snake, that one.” ”I have not heard of this Ash, however.” He narrowed his eyes. “Dead or dying? Or did he do something you don’t approve of?”

“What’s that?” He was frowning rather archly. “Hhmmm… seems to be some sort of body in the sky. I don’t suppose we’ve ever tried going very far upwards.” Hey! It was a nonsentient thing that killed me at the first. Constant laughed slightly. “No - I’m the voice in other people’s head, I suppose. Still haven’t gotten used to the whole ‘eternal kingdom’ thing.”
