Okay, so Taravangian his Kharbranth, or some version of it, in the SR What if Valor did the same? At the convention, Sanderson said that if Taravangian brought an entire city (and the people) directly into the SR (I stress of just replicating it), that would be really dangerous. He RAFOed on whether he actually did that. But what if Valor did that? That could be the cause of the sickness, some radiation or other. And the Demon could be some manifestation of Valor, perhaps throwing out ideas here -
I don't think it's time travel. I think that this is something that happens at least partially in the spiritual realm and am inclined to believe that it happens entirely in the spiritual realm. December is some sort of non-physical being, whereas all the people around her are recreations of physical beings. thats just me tho the demon is a dragon and the river is impossible or at least very very very super ultra highly invested first of all the river has no cohesive forces. Not many things are like that second of all, it isn't an oil third of all, and the reason why i think its highly invested IT LITERALLY EVAPORATES INTO THE AIR if you get far enough. I don't agree with them, but for many I've had to dig deep and try to actualize why I think they're wrong, and why they might be right. And that's more important than the actual point I want to make in an argument. Cuz in the end, it's a book, and saying a character is good or bad doesn't have much meaning. But framing in your mind why a character is good or bad (or anything else) can have a lot of meaning. SO DON'T GO (Actually, I don't hate Moash! Don't tell literally anyone else. (I think society is society and that trying to rank tolerance or diversity provides a blanket that ignores individual struggles) (you could rank it by likelihood of those struggles, but at that point diversity is portrayed as bad) (and defining struggles is bad. (What happens when the society rejects itself? What happens when the loudest voice become a polarizing influence, and society reorganizes itself? Do we then place value on a static/inelastic society, which is weak in the face of threats? Or do we place value on volatility? I think it’s some sort of middle ground, ya know, but how do you measure that?) (How does this society interact with other societies? Do we stick to general convictions and ideals, then go to war when those are offended? And if we do, what about those who share something with the offender? Proposed Dual Character Arcs: Qiangzhe doesn't change at all, but audience perception of him changes as they grow to get used to him. Meanwhile, Fuyu changes to become more and more bitter / self-centered, until it comes to a breaking point
when QIangzhe, who the audience should now tolerate, completely betrays EVERYONE. This shocks Fuyu back from being terrible, while the audience is like, wait, I thought she would be the traitor!

Hhhmmmm (I want to preface this by saying that I’m a little salty cuz someone at school called all religions cults and that’s what theyd been researching the entire semester for their capstone project) again, I think you are mistaking the purpose of religion people are going to dislike me for saying this, but religion for me isn’t about following rules its about being happy ya know? I think on the other side of the coin you presented, I would still have religion without any proof or personal witness I think life without an afterlife is just depressing and who cares if it’s false hope. Okay chat, but I really like the transformation my side character has gone through. It's definitely offputting, and just satisfying as an author.
I'm of course talking about QIANGZHE!
If yall didn't read my chapters, he's the slightly awkward, slightly introverted cousin of the MC.
But you see that in one flashback, and there's this friendship implied, and then years pass. It takes like... five chapters before he's reintroduced, and this is many years into the future.
And he's presented as absolutely hating the MC. A bitter young man that acts twice as old as he is. And I think, when people read that, I'm going for "wait, what happened? this isn't Qiangzhe!"
and I feel really satisfied.
