Frustration! I think you'd have to disable the Oathgate on both sides, wouldn't you? Because it's the sentient spren that send them from the CR, and all they need is stormlight/investiture. Anyone can supply that. With the PR its different because you arent directly interacting with the spren. Also fabrials have non-invested metal housings, it makes sense that Hoid can push on them.

While you’re theorizing consider Is there some sort of divide between Valor’s intent and the Vessel’s intent? Is the “Demon” an SR manifestation of Valor’s past? Is the person who stopped the demon the intent of the Shard? If it is, rivers of blood could literally be metaphorical. That sentence makes sense.
