you know how people say that the steps on the Aztec step pyramids are stained because of the blood of the sacrifices?

Well

I had a thought

If these people are dying shortly prior to being thrown down the steps, they would be emptying their bowels… onto the stones.

SO THE STAINS ARENT JUST BLOOD!
