  1. Oh damnation! if it was me, as soon, as the book touched my hands, I'd have ran home as if a lion was chasing me!
  2. To get to shadesmar, do you need to use, one of the investures of the world you're in, or can it be an investure from other world? If it's the latter it makes sense that Hoid is collecting types of powers, since he can't leave the world until he gains control from a investure from the same world, so he's only collecting them so that he can move on, and not trying to collect them all just because(it ends up being a huge perk though).
  3. Hehehe, you know you are desperate for a book to come out, when you still have almost 1 month of waiting, and you already have a plan on how to read it!
  4. I'll read all the preview chapters the day before my book arrives, and when it does, I'm going for the next Kal chapter, and after that I'll go back to 7, then 11, then 13, and 15, from there I'll go through them in order.
  5. IF he only loaned it, Sadeas, would know, since he would not be able to bond it himself, and summon the sword at will. And if that was the case, war between them would happen almost instantly, since it hasn't, it stands to reason, that Sadeas is happy with the blade, and has full control over it.
  6. I wish I could see kaladins time as a slave, mostly him trying to escape! But at this time in the series, it's more advantageous to explore backgrounds of different characters
  7. Wasn't there another topic about this? I still believe, he's in the bridge crews, a little bit of karmic remedy, he's now one of the people he treated so bad, and considered worthless.
  8. Id really like to see, Jasnah arriving the Shattered Plains, then goes to visit her uncle, then sees Shen guarding Dalinar. Then Jasnah, will demand that they get rid of Shen(since she thinks that they are the voidbringers), and Kaladin is also there, a dark eyes captain that denies her demand(since Shen is a part of bridge 4), making her like This post has been reported for attempting to skirt the rules is going on!(First impression of Kaladin BAM!). And so it starts, the epic relationship, that starts with dislike and annoyance that slowly turns into love and affection
  9. I just think that Jasnah simply has yet met her match in a man, she's highly skilled&educated, and a powerful women, it stands to reason that no one she has met has really impressed her, since she must have high standards and knows her value well. It would also make her compatible with Kaladin, he's really unique and stands out, also educated, and intelligent...
  10. Can the boon even afect another person? I thought the boon and the curse were limited to the person that asks
  11. I also believe it was Dalinar. I don't know why, I've only read that chapter once, but the feeling I drew from that one time was that it was Dalinar himself that did it, and he didn't seem too worried if I remember it right, so he must know or has a suspicion.
  12. I think the thing he saw was syl. If I remmember correctly, just before, the gaz part, Kaladin went to talk to him, and Syl started to twirl around Gaz, maybe the fact that he has his vision impaired, enhanced another sense, that could make him almost see Syl, just like Rock does
  13. I feel like there's molten metal bubling on the inside of my stomach, just because of the anticipation from reading your lists people! March 4th can't arrive fast enough for me...
  14. I don't think that Syl is related to windspren, it was just that they thought she was one because they didn't even knew Honorspren existed until she remembered what she was... Unless I missed something.
  15. I agree but we could get a little seed but not too obvious for it to develop later just for those who can't wait for it
  16. Sleeping when WoR comes out? Ain't nobody got time fo that! Happy new year to all you people! I hope it's better than the one that has passed Wish: That Dalinar finds out about all the injustice done to Kalladin(just to see his reaction) The meeting between Kalladin and the other major characters ( mainly the first impressions, and then those impressions being shattered when kalladin does something awesome!) Resolutions: Try to savour the book and not read it too fast, altough I'll probably fail and wont mind
  17. Do Honourblades somehow comes from the Honour Shard? Or it's just coincidence. Since it seems that BS is hinting that more types of blades will appear, and we also don't know what Cultivation brings to the table(at least I don't, I'm still pretty new to all this roshar stuff) may as well have another type of blade from it. By exclusion the Szeths blade belongs to the 3rd type since its the one that differs from the others. Or maybe it belongs to the honour type, and it's one of the other that differs when used in a certain situation, making it a 3rd type but kind of disguised as a shardblade, like the Amatam's just like Moogle said i nthe post above. I love these theories and hypothesis, but I hate it when there is no material to try and prove them...
  18. I don't think Dalinar will persue war for much longer, he also saw the Parshendi in a diferent light(I'm talking about that part when he tried to stop the klling of that young parshendi, and the talk about the codes) I like to believe that Dalinar his changing, slowly but surely turning into a person more like Kaladin.
  19. So it just gets bigger after pupating that's it? I guess I could imagine, that the chamsfiends start to get too big for their shells, and so the chrysalis(It was made of stone right?) becomes their new shell, and while they are inside it they eat the old shell or something like that xD
  20. I allways thought that the Parshendi/Parshmen were something like the foot soldiers of the Voidbringers, but the Parshmen were somehow culled over the years due to mankind slavery. But it's strange because from Dalinar PoV they have their own type of society and sense of honour. Maybe because they resembled the voidbringers they were dispised, and doomed to slavery. Just playing both sides of the coin here...
  21. Do we even know what hapens after the pupation? I don't think we ever saw a Chasmfiend emerge from one. What about their relashionship with the Spren, what do each of them gets from it? Maybe the chasmfiends gets the ability to absorve stormlight giving them strengh thus allowing them to support those huge shells and bodies so they wont crush themselves(that's why they go pupate before the highstorm, they need that extra boost of energy for the process), the spren though I have no idea...
  22. I think Kaladin thought to himself that there are as many bridgeman as warriors in the army that he used to serve in. Its possible Gaz wanted to lay low to avoid kaladins atention, although I don't know how he kept shut the bridgmen in his own crew, those would easily recognize him...
  23. Well, I know this is simple, but sometime simple works best. Based purely on name, if there are honorblades it stands to reason that there is a chance that there are odiumblades. And maybe shardblades are in between the 2, maybe 50/50 of each, or maybe each blade has a different setting.
  24. The oathstone is merely symbolic, it's just a way for him to know who's his owner, there is no compeling done, and Szeth can refuse 2 commands, to kill himself and to give away his blade. I do wonder if the owner attacks Szeth without warning can he defend himself, or is it considered like the command to kill himself allowing him to refuse and fight back... He is bound by his honor, and I believe if he wanted he could stop serving, but years and year of brainwashing will do that to a person, at least that's what I think has happened.
  25. Yeah, the book entire book isn't focus on said character, only the flashbacks.
