    "Rose, no." he said, grabbing her shoulder. "You could die. Let me do this." Above, the guards gazed at them, spears at the ready.

    The old fort had several. Cricket ran forward. "Rose, don't." he said, urgently. "Please." The man screamed, eyes pleading. The Shade snarled, thrown backwards.

    stone Cricket tried to intervene, but she ignored him. The guards stood up on the battlements. The man cursed, scrambling and swearing. The Shade growled, seizing Endings and stabbing it towards Palsu.

    He snarled, and slashed with his flaming blade towards Malevolence. He growled. "He's gone?" The Shade grimaced, pulling it back towards him with inhuman strength.

    The hunter smiled, drawing his sword. "Let's begin." The Shade ignored Moni. Perseus, however, crawled over to where she was bound, cutting her bonds with a small knife he had kept in his back pocket. "Where's Endings?" He snarled, breaking the spear in half, and attempting to skewer her again. He drew Endings, growling.

    "Indeed I do." the hunter growled, and he spread his arms out, black flames running along them. "Why should we?" he shouted, and dissapeared behind the battlements. A second later, he emerged, crossbow in hand, and took aim, firing at her. He missed barely, arrow whizzing over her shoulder. Cricket growled, stepping between her and the fort. she's tied up The Shade hissed, melting into the shadows and reappearing, atop the elephant. He launched himself at Faunus, spear in hand, stabbing at her.

    They frowned, glancing among themselves. One, however, strode forward. "Why should you lead?" he demanded, drawing his sword. The Shade smiled. "Then I'll gladly take it off your hands." The Shade smacked her across the face with a bundle of shrubs that smelled foul. It temporarily Enulled her Narration.

    Men in black cloaks began to appear, surrounding Malevolence, blades drawn. When they recognized who he was, however, they sheathed their blades, looking wary. --- He smiled. "Oh? Endings? I have heard legends of his blade. It ought to be... useful. Thank you for your gift, Avatar." he said, raising Endings. Perseus stirred dimly, head aching. He was tied up and hanging from the ceiling. He glanced around, spotting the Shade. Did he have Endings?

    He grinned, regarding it. "Shall you inform me of what it does? Or else your lovely friends might suffer." "Who the heck are you?"

    It was a cold, stone fort, with guards lining the battlements. "Who are you?" one called, through cupped hands. "Get away from our fort!"

    He sighed. Why was she so infuriatingly confident? She was going to get both of them killed.

    He sighed, trailing behind them. The woman pointed. "There. They came in the morning, killed him, and went that way. Back to their fort." "Rose... you can't really be thinking of storming their fort, can you?"

    "I just... I don't want any more blood on my hands. Especially yours." The woman looked pleadingly at her. "Please! Avenge them!"

    "Still... I couldn't bear if something happened to you." he replied, gently but firmly. The Shade grinned, pulling out Endings. "Looking for this? Not entirely sure why you want it, but still... If this is your mighty weapon, might as well keep it." "You stay quiet, if you know what's good for you."

    "They went east! Towards the fort!" Cricket frowned. "We need to think this through, Rose..."

    "No." Cricket said, placing between her. "We're not killing anyone. But who are they?" "The monsters! The soldiers... they're monsters! They're all monsters!" He slapped her across the face. "You're a prisoner here. If the Lords of Ragnorok forbid your entry, then it is so." He presumably was unconscious.
