  1. Cricket nodded, but couldn't get the sick feeling out of his head. He had killed them ruthlessly, without bothering to check their identities. He stepped forward and clasped his hand. The earth crumbled beneath Atreides, who deftly sidestepped and summoned another, shorter, blade, using it to parry Endings.
  2. "Wait." Cricket said. "I'll go, but I need to know one thing. Were the other people I killed... real?" Atreides turned his blade, causing Endings to fly by, careful not to hit him or the blade. He then thrust his blade straight at Moni's chest.
  3. happy Thanksgiving!
  4. Happy Thanksgiving! :D 🦃

  5. "No." Cricket said. "You will let me see the Dreamsmith. What do I need to do to get to him? I'll do anything." Atreides stepped back, using his longer reach to keep Moni back.
  6. hehehehehe epic alright I gotta go to bed gn
  7. Cricket sighed, looking up. "Omen!" he shouted. "This is a lie. I've played your little game and won it. Bring me to the Dreamsmith!"
  8. granted, you get duct taped to itirSp (hope that's right) I wish for a nicer phone.
  9. Omen... Omen put me in some sort of vision. Hunters attacked me and I killed them, but... but one of them was you. Listen, Tam, don't trust him. I'll find a way to the Dreamsmith, I swear, whether I have to kill him to do it.
  10. Cricket staggered back, and turned, running to the other corpses. Atreides cleaved straight through her shield with his blade. "Any more tricks up your sleeve?" he asked, a blademaster with thousands of years of experience. Tam. Oh, thank the Light! You're alive!
  11. No. No. Storms, no. It could not be. Tam had seemed fine when he had last spoke to her, but, who knew what Omen could do? Tam. he thought, urgently. Tam! Are you there? @Ookla the Inconclusive Atreides smiled, only showing his blade. The whispers hit Moni in an instant, voices of fear, death, despair. "Save us!" they pleaded. "Save us!" Atreides looked at her. "Do you hear them? Pitiable wretches." Behind him, Perseus got to his feet.
  12. Cricket eyed him, confused. "Who are you?" he asked. Atreides smiled, dropping his spear of light and unsheathing his blade. All of it was as black as darkness, but the carvings along the blade changed, depicting tortured human faces. "As you wish, Avatar."
  13. heh, some people actually believe I'm an introvert. (I ain't) agreed
  14. *hangs off edge of seat in anticipation*
  15. Cricket looked around, confused. Atreides shook in anger, and ran towards her with inhuman speed, his form blurring as he slashed with his spear of light. As he ran, he casually tripped Perseus, who fell. Above them, thunder rumbled and rain fell, as the sun was blotted out.
  16. *gives Haly popcorn, because I'm nice like that*
  17. Atreides is a god soooooo... yeah "Omen!" Cricket screamed. "How many must I kill! Let me to the Dreamsmith!" Atreides smiled, raising his free hand, summoning a storm.
  18. Atreides looked for the source of the laughter, and raised his hand, a spear of pure light appearing in it.
  19. This is the first part of one of my TLT character's backstory, Perseus. It was easier to write and less complicated than Cricket's, which I'm holding back on for now. Enjoy! (@Ookla the nostealnamepls this might interest you.)
  20. Cricket turned, ducking under the sword and bringing his dagger up. How many more could he fight? Atreides looked down in anger. "Fool! I. AM. A. GOD!" he screamed. "I've fought giants and dragons, descended into hell and returned. Once, my very name made the gods tremble, so much so I joined them! Defy me, Avatar, and pay the price."
  21. Cricket turned towards the final man, silently crying. Who was he to ruthlessly slaughter them? They hadn't stood a chance. "I'm sorry," he muttered, and raised his blade, bringing it down on him. Atreides looked grim. "You do not want this unsheathed." he said, touching the sword at its sheath. "Do you know the tale of how I earned it?" Perseus backed away, looking genuinely disconcerted. "It's forged from the souls of your fallen enemies, longing for vengeance." "And more souls." Atreides interrupted. "Pray I don't unsheathe this and give me the Plotblade."
