Tondon, who is burning iron, sees Jaksyn leaving (due to the axe moving away). He follows, storing Connection so nobody knows he’s there or gone.

“Thank you.” Tondon turns to @Lotus Blossom, asking, “Hey Astra, can you shape that to make it hard to take off? It’ll stop him from sneaking up on us.” He then turns back to Quelkin, tapping connection as he says, “I think I hope you succeed. I don’t really know anything about what’s happening in the future here, but you sound like you believe in your cause. You don’t necessarily need to survive the tournament to start a revolution. Look at the Survivor.” Tondon then leaves, following Mark’s advice. @Lotus Blossom @LightRinger @The Stormfather @RoyalBeeMage

Tondon looks very indecisive. “Uh. Revolution? Why? Who are you revolving against?” He gives Quelkin a metal bracelet. “If you’re surrendering, put this on.” Then he turns back to the rest of his team. “What should we do with him?” @Lotus Blossom @LightRinger @RoyalBeeMage @The Stormfather

“You too? Where is everyone getting these?” He turns back to Quelkin, unless he’s been stabbed, and says, “What would you say about surrendering?”

Tondon starts. “You again?” Tossing a sickle in the rough direction of Quelkin, he turns to the others. “Watch out, this guy’s a Thug and can do the glowy thing!” Tondon moves to the side if his sickle misses, then Pulls it towards Quelkin’s back while throwing his dagger a little off to the side, trying to get Quelkin to step into one of his attacks. “You guys can get out of here! As Roy begins his approach, one of the figures summons and brandishes a shardblade. After a small amount of inaudible discussion, the figure sweeps it twice through the tree that the group is standing next to, then drops the shardblade, causing it to dissipate. The tree tumbles over, and a fifth figure falls out of it. “He’s someone I fought with earlier. He’d said he was a Thug, then did the glowy thing and ran away.” London holds up a handful of dun spheres. “That Corin guy gave me these, and this,” he holds up a large heliodor gemstone with metal around it, “and somehow expected me to be able to get the glow from one to the other and detect people. Speaking of detecting people, look over there. There’s another tribute!” (It’s Roy.)

Tondon waves to her to go ahead. After he sees what the blade can do to the tree, he says, “Whoa. What is that thing? Is it even possible to defeat someone using one, if it does that to a tree? Can they cut through anything? Why’d you have to cut twice?” @LightRinger @The Stormfather @Unintelligenius

Tondon takes his stone, and tosses it into the air, but it doesn’t reach anywhere near the top. He catches it before it lands on his foot. “We can combine the two. You cut down the tree, then I hold off whoever falls out of it.” Basically we continued planning what to do, and Tondon threw a sickle into the tree, but it fell short. You’ve seen evidence of iron allomancy from him, but no other magic. Note: cutting down a tree strong enough to hold a person with an axe takes a long time.

“I can. Storing Connection is an advantage here, rather than a danger,” Tondon Pulls the band towards himself, as asked. It tugs Astra towards Tondon, and Tondon toward Astra. He then follows her other instructions, and walks around the trees to see what he can find. @Unintelligenius @Edema Rue

I’d recommend something astrology based, like different times of year and planetary locations causing different powers. Additionally, the world influence comes from a “flow from the stars” which would influence people’s emotions and destiny (that’s where astrology comes from). The mages could manipulate that star flow. The flow is related to theories of gravity, light, a fifth element, pheulestigen (definitely spelled that wrong) which is the theoretical liquid that is released as fire, the liquid of temperature, and a modern dark matter theory is named after it.

“Yeah, I’ve done it before. That being said, it takes a ton of Connection, and if I stored at this rate back home, I’d probably be hit by a car. If I’m gonna pull you, I’d be pulled at the same rate, so we’d end up just crashing into each other. Where are you trying to go? Into the tree?” He looks around for anyone who might be a threat. What is Quelkin doing now, @Unintelligenius?

“Maybe? How much do you have stored in it? Invested things are hard to move. But I can reach it. I think if I tap enough in a burst, I might be able to ironsight the entire arena.”

@Edema Rue and other senior GMs (that’s @Experience and @Ancient Elantrian, if I’m not mistaken) can I apply for the GM waiting list? Qualifications: I’ve been a DM for D&D for several years. My most recent campaign ended in a TPK, but my players still said they were excited for next year’s game. I think that fits the hunger game objective; kill everyone but also let them have fun. I’ve read almost all Brandon Sanderson books. The Alcatraz games have already occurred, so I’d be knowledgeable of the canon. I can pretty regularly post, although my schedule will be a little spotty over the summer. I think the waiting list is long enough that I wouldn’t reach the front next game, though. Potential issues: I haven’t actually read the Hunger Games (I have the first book on hold though, so that will change) I’m pretty new to the shard. Not sure how that would cause problems, but you might want me to build up a little more reputation and experience before GMing. -

“Could be, but it seems a bit subtle for what they’ve done so far. Also, if these places are real, rocks don’t randomly fall from the sky in the Terris mountains. There might be avalanches, but no random sky pebbles. I blame another tribute. After all, that guy I fought earlier ran off into the woods.”

“Yeah, seems like it. She’s a Willshaper, whatever that means, and she made me this.” He gestures to the shield made of pink crystals on his arm. “It’s pretty durable, I think. Anyway, she said something about setting us free and creating a central alliance. I’ve got a duraluminmind now, so I’ve been observing as she talks to that guy,” he points at Mark, “apparently they know each other, but I’m waiting to pull my knife at him if it goes wrong. I can do that from over here now, though, cause of how ironlines work. Apparently it’s something about Connection. There was somebody who asked me about it before I got here, told me I should join. Wonder what she wanted.”
