@Spark of Hope Rust moves along much faster and smoother now, anchoring to the metal chunks on the ground. “This is my planet! It is very nice, I think. Do you like it? The sky people are this way, probably.”

While the knights fought, Cole finally figured out how to load the crossbow. He fires it, using wind to guide the bolt through the eye slit. -
As you walk towards the area of Ferrian space, the percentage of the horizon taken up by it expands quickly, like objects casting larger and larger shadows as you walk towards them with a light. When you walk through it, half the horizon in Idea-land, and the other half is Ferria, and the ratio continues to change as you get farther away again. The ground of this new planet is mottled grey stone-seeming things interspersed with red dust. You feel a bit lighter, but far more noticeable is the heat. The sun hangs large in the sky, which hazes to violet at the horizon. Also on the horizon are bush-like silhouettes, in clumps. With the blurry suits on, despite noticing the heat it doesn’t seem to have any ill effects. If Adtae is troubled by approximate 135 F temperatures, he may have to turn back. @SpiritOfWrath

The bundle continues sending out comforting feelings, sealing as the bird snuggles into it. Rust expands. “Shall we go now?” They walk through the slice of Ferrian space. @Spark of Hope @SpiritOfWrath

Cole tears the shirt off, stomping on it.

Cole steps on the man’s arm; trying to prevent him from using his sword.

The clothes seal around you, barely noticeable. You’re just slightly blurry and feel the theoretically comforting alive-ness. It doesn’t even seem to obstruct your breathing, dispute that it is over your head. The bundle feels very comforting, and doesn’t actively wrap around the bird, but does stay where it is, not falling off once it’s on.

The bundle is as blank feeling as it is hard to see, but it gives off an impression that it’s alive and will protect you, like how if you lay down outside and listen to trees, you feel their aliveness. When you touch the bundle, it rearranges so you can step into it.

“Oh. That will work then, I think.” The bundle in front of Adtae poofs away.

Cole tries to shove the knight off the horse, leaping into the air for a flying kick so he can get more momentum.

Rust contracts. “They said there were very small things on them. Like the algae and yeast from my world. That it would be bad if the small things got out.”

“That makes sense. I will try.” Rust goes up to the Idea, and touches it. Home. The Idea reaches out, and rather than form a new place, it pulls from elsewhere, creating things Rust has no way to know about. A thin slice of space near the Idea goes from barren to red and silver mixed into a sort of shining pink. “Before we go, the sky people had clothes to not mix you-life and me-life, and to not be damaged by the ‘star’ that prevents the Spoiling. I will get some.” A blurry, semi-transparent bundle appears at the feet of each person. The bird even gets a small one. @Spark of Hope @Through The Living Glass

Cole sends a gust of wind at the knight, trying to knock him over. “Anybody have some water?”

“You made a place to go somewhere, not just a thing. From the Idea.”

Blood trickles down Cole’s cheek as he pushes air away from the fire in all directions, trying to smother it.

Cole blocks it with the relatively strong bow saw. “How am I supposed to do that?! The guy’s in full plate!”

Cole dives out of the way of the horse, then springs to his feet, holding a bow saw in one hand and a knife in the other. “What does it even mean to be a heretic? All you people are some unreasonable.”

“Sorry. Names haven’t really seemed very important, recently.” “You’re crazier than me, honestly. What makes you think I’m a heretic?” Cole is ignoring the threat to his life, although he finds the knife within his bag.

Cole calls out. "Are you with the Duke?" He also drops his still unloaded crossbow.

"I'll see if I can get some sort of incriminating exchange, in addition to ordinary things."

"Rage? Those are the fire people, right?" Cole begins attempting to load his crossbow.

Cole has been lying on the road. He wakes up and looks around. "Burnt man, do you know what's going on?"
