    Thanks. Are Plotblades found anywhere special? Honestly, is there a collection of lore somewhere? There’s a man sitting stunned next to a massive ball of purple metal; if Faunus needs a starting emotion that could be an excellent source of confusion, terror, awe, and exhaustion. If anger was what she desired, though, someone else would have to do.

    The man makes what is quite possibly the worst choice in the situation. “You’re under arrest too. For… something. Accomplice to whatever that man did.” Off to the side, the Vvondin’s translator makes a slightly robotic sigh.

    The man begins to panic, then calms as his suit injects him with sedative. This may not have been the best idea, however, as he then goes. “If you’re a criminal, you’re under arrest. Through the authority of the IISC, I’m confiscating whatever it is that lets you teleport, your suit other than life support, and any other weapons or xenotech you may possess.”

    Cole jumps upward, trying to get to somewhere windy. There was a lot more air around than cold, after all; perhaps he could outlast them.

    The man snorts. “What is that supposed to mean? You’re what, some kind of priest?” The Vvondin finishes putting the car back together and speaks to you, as the driver was occupied and not the most diplomatic of people. “The extra would be sapience testing; puzzles to measure thought. The all of you will have biotesting as well; there is a sickness we must catch and you may be from somewhere new.” Rust comes over. “Did other-me ask you to come here?” “No. We will bring you back to the research station, regardless. As was said, we will be pleased to share ideas.”

    Cole waves to the soldiers. “Hi! You might want to go tell the duke there’s a broken window up there.”

    The Render is indeed stopped. It thumps against the orb, but cannot move it; the investiture stops its telekinesis. Kion slumps to the ground, panting and wide-eyed. “Thank you. You saved me - with the words. The Narration. What did I just do?”

    Cole walks back and picks his weapons off the ground, then looks for more things to destroy.

    “What job do you have?” The biologist looks away; the bird’s expression was rather unnerving, almost as if it was glaring at him.

    “So it is a bit sapient. Doesn’t fit the patterns, but seems to have some abstract thought. Again, the ambassadors would be interested.”

    “I’m simply trying to do my job.” The driver looks at it more closely. “What planet is that from? Is it semi-sapient?”

    Cole clings to it for a second, then kicks it in and floats back to the ground. Then, he walks up to the door and knocks. “I heard you had a broken window. I’m a carpenter; I can repair it for a small fee.”

    I wonder, is there a Mary Sue Plotblade? You could use it to make a Narrator-Ennuller-Luxsprite-Whithergeist-dragon-elf-angel-demon-fairy with eight plotblades and a poorly thought out backstory. More seriously, is Exposition unclaimed? I don’t think Kion would want it, but if my narrator who I will probably make eventually is closer to me, that would be very on-brand. Kion continues to run from the Render; it’s too close now for any spells to help. He leaps a table that the Render simply goes through, shattering into pieces as the table tries to bend like the Render’s body. They are a bit out of the way, but surely someone has noticed.

    Cole looks around for guards, then does a wind propelled flying leap up to the window.

    Roots reach out from Nicks suit into the water and nearby trees and shrubs. Slowly but surely, Tenth’s suit grows outwards, linking around his shoulders, and beginning to cover his arms and legs. It’s comfortable, keeping the skin it covers at perfect conditions, and rather light. Nick’s suit stockpiles water, but doesn’t grow yet; there isn’t anything to make.

    The driver is incredulous. “You brought a bird?! Can you imagine the kind of ecosystem damage this could cause?”

    Nick stands in up to his ankles, roots growing out from the xenosuit. “Here, connect one of these - I can gather nutrients with my whole suit. I assume you want my standard protective layers: life support, insulation, shock absorption, shock distribution, anti tear, fireproofing, anti tear again, exterior functions?”

    “Where are you even from? I’m human and they’re Vvondin. Are you a time traveler or something? Regardless, we should get you to the ambassador; I think many people would be interested in these so-called unconventional means.”

    “Yes it does, but so does water. If you’re fine with the suit fully interfacing with you, though, it can share water and nutrients on its own, even with the little bit you have there. Even a little extra oxygen in your blood goes a long way.”

    The passenger gets out of their seat to try putting the back of the vehicle back together. They move strangely, and you realize their limbs have an extra joint. The black suit they’re wearing makes it hard to see anything else, but it’s unlikely they’re human. The driver continues berating you. “You just showed up? Three weeks to the closest other system, and you just show up?” Then, they process Adtae’s statement. “Did the Quantum bring you here or something? We’re researching the life forms here, of course. What else would a research station on a bioplanet be doing?” Rust walks over. “Sky people! Did I call you yet?” The driver sighs. “You just meant a Ferrian? I didn’t realize there were any sapient ones that decided to stay…”

    Cole grins. “Well, if the door is locked, perhaps we can get in another way.” He looks around for a good place to fly to.
