    Aww, really? That's an adorable name! And hey, I wouldn't put it past anyone to name their kid something weird. I mean, what about Shoe, y'know? Shoe popped out of the sand in a different spot. What about me? Uh, nothing. He narrowed his eyes at her, then sank beneath the sand once more. Tam hit and rolled across the sand with an oof.

    . . . Are you doing that thing that Shoe did to Beosta? Shoe popped out of the sand, spraying it everywhere. Huh? Nothing. He stared at her suspiciously for a moment, then slowly sank back beneath the sand (in a very comical way). She appeared on his head an instant later. "Boo!"

    "What if Subversion's other personality doesn't find an answer?" The tiny sand person from earlier came and sat on the sand by them, the little glass crown still on its head. It watched them curiously. Believe it or not . . . that actually did not occur to me. Ever. I guess I've just stopped associating "cricket" with the animal, now that we're friends. And I chose a crab because it was fun to be one, and I thought you might enjoy it, too.

    Tam rolled her eyes. "Not again!" She made sure the patient was alright. "Oh! Hey! What's Subversion's plan B? She won't tell me." Shoe joined her. "Yeah, he's fine. A bit crabbier now, maybe, but fine," she chuckled. "I took care of it already!" Tam yelled to him.

    "Yay! Okay, follow meeeeeee-!" Tam said, scuttling away from them. Shoe thought this felt very strange. Well, at least it's not as bad as the pigeons, he thought, finding he could walk quite easily. Everything's so big.

    "Great!" Tam said cheerfully. Well, hang on, I kind of ca- Shoe started before Tam turned them both into crabs. "Huh." So, plan B? she asked as she turned Shoe and Beosta into crabs. "He's fine!" Tam said, scuttling by. "Someone made sure of it- I don't remember who, but they did!"
