Tam silently pleaded -to whichever Author was controlling the small demon orb- to make it stop.
Not that she wanted a response.
But . . . some peace and quiet would be nice. And this was definitely not helping how she was feeling right now.
"O-okay."
She watched Cricket go, distraught.
Really, really tired of the thing, she grabbed the little sphere, then, teeth gritting and fists clenched, hurled it into the distance with all her might.
GO AWAY.
"Oh, of course!"
She stepped back and healed him, then hugged him again.
"All done. Where's-" She paused.
"You're going back, aren't you? Malan's not dead."
She sighed.
"Is there anything else you needed before you go?"
She Narrated a mental block in place so that the orb could never bother her again. Or at least for a little while.
