"Jolane..." she paused. "Look, I understand the importance of keeping your door locked, but Jolane..." She looked the younger girl in the eyes. "Why does yours only lock from the outside?"
"Oh." Niamh went silent.
As Jolane started to walk away, something dawned on Niamh.
"Wait, Jolane... last night, I went upstairs to look for Robert. I knocked on a door because I heard someone in there and thought it might be him... was that you?"
Niamh collected some cheese and bread from Robert, and ate while she tuned her fiddle.
After a few minutes, she saw the young waitress walk by.
"Waitress!" she called. "Would you come here?"
