  1. You drive slower than an actively storing Steelrunner in a cadmium bubble.

Which one is most likely to be Adonalsium in disguise?
  3. You called? TPBM loathes microwaves.
  4. Granted. You no longer have hands. I wish to be bonded to the Nightwatcher
  5. Not often by choice, but I enjoy several of their songs when they come on the radio. TPBM could use a good and proper nemesis
  6. Receives a Santhid Inserts a aweful, terrible, nasty, evil thing, the nature of which shall remain undisclosed.
  7. had been 'assassin and betrothed'
  8. secret assassin, in which case
  9. 1. Yumi and the Nightmare Painter The worldbuilding was quite intriguing and the characterisation and relationship development was absolutely stellar. 2. The Sunlit Man Glimpsing the future of the Cosmere was amazing, the mechanics of the world were fun to uncover, and comparing Zellion in TSM to Sigzil in SA was so interesting. 3. Tress of the Emerald Sea Honestly, Tress and Sunlit Man are pretty much tied, in my opinion, but I read Tress almost a year ago, so I placed it lower. The Aether magic system made for really beautiful visuals, in my mind's eye, and I loved Tress's emotional arc. 4. The Frugal Wizard's Handbook for Surviving Medieval England I loved the concept and worldbuilding, but being non-Cosmere was a little disappointing, and John's character never fully clicked, for me. Still a great book by any standards.
  10. Yes. Except the monsters in my walls turned out to just be crows scratching on the roof of my room. It was still terrifying for ten-year-old me, though. TPBM prefers live theatre to movies
  11. Gets the Spiritual Ideal of the Seventeenth Shard Inserts a hemallurgic spike
  12. Hello, and welcome to the Shard! You can respond directly to someone in a thread by clicking the button that says "Quote" in the bottom left corner of their post, and then typing your response underneath the quoted section that will be added to the post you are writing. I agree that Kaladin's scene at the Honour Chasm is one of the most powerful scenes in the series, for me (especially when re-reading TWoK after having read the ending of RoW, when he does jump). What is one of your favourite moments outside of Stormlight?
  13. Gets 42 vengeful chasmfiends. Inserts the Lopen
  14. Granted. Unfortunately, every time you summon them to play for you, a trio of masked villains appear, and attempt to assassinate you, until the music stops and they vanish. I wish for a pet axehound.
  15. Someone just repped my above post, so when I scrolled through my notifications, I lost the Game again! I made it 50 hours and 31 minutes...I'm never getting back the streak I had before learning about the Game, am I? Ah, well, such is life...
  16. Yesterday, I ate sweet food, wrote some poetry, and wore gloves (One of which was on my left hand). I think it might be a reference to Vorin gender roles. I'd better do some sword-fighting today, just to break that pattern. *gasp* PATTERN! Obviously another Stormlight reference.
  17. The fact that there is no hidden information makes me feel like if I just consider the board long enough between each move, I will never make a mistake. Of course, I know that doing so is pretty much impossible, but, due to unreasonable demands I place upon myself, I still feel incredibly dumb any time I make a mistake, because all the information was right there on the board. Anyway, sorry for that rather long rant. Hanging out with fictional characters (especially Cosmere ones) is one of my favourite things to daydream about, and I daydream quite frequently, so, yes! TPBM has a particular thing they love to collect
  18. Radiant, because at least I would still have a spren companion. WYR live in Urithiru or Elantris?
  19. I would choose Lift, because, even though she would cause much havoc and mischief, I could never stay mad at her. If I'm being serious though...I think I would pick Rock. He seems very organised (At least when cooking is involved), interesting to talk to, and responsible. Also, cooking meals with him would be quite fun, and I would learn how to make so many new dishes!
  20. They will cut Yeden from Mistborn and just have Kelsier be the former leader of the skaa rebellion who was captured, and, upon his return decided to overthrow the Final Empire once and for all. Almost all of the Stormlight interludes will be removed, even the ones that have some plot relevance or foreshadowing. They will "cure" Kaladin's depression by the end of the series, just to make the audience feel better. Shallan's plural experience will be poorly represented, and they will quite likely demonize Veil and Radiant in some way. They will pull back heavily on the atrocity of Dalinar's actions at the Rift, for fear that the audience will no longer like him. Wax, Steris, and Marasi will become a love triangle that is central to the plot of the books. Moash, Amaram, and Sadeas will become much less nuanced villain caricatures of themselves. Wow. Looking at all of these mistakes, that could very well happen in a Hollywood adaptation, I am glad that Brandon Sanderson is established enough that he can just say "no" to any preposed adaptations. If any of the companies that optioned his works early in his career had pursued that option successfully...*shudder* He has much more control over the quality of Cosmere adaptations now, which makes me cautiously hopeful that they will be better than most book-to-screen adaptations I have seen.

  22. Given all the other responses, the weirdest thing I could say is simply "Hi!" ... But that would be boring, so here we go! If the Earth is a sphere, does that mean that, the further you walk away from somewhere, the closer you get to it? Like, the other way around? Also, *hushed voice* my pillow whispers secrets in my ear at night. *giggles*... Finally, and most interestingly: CELERYYYYY. ... In other words, welcome to the Shard, fellow weirdspeaker and Cosmere-lover!
  23. Hello, and welcome to the Shard!
  24. During the tent scene in Dune, I can hardly hear what Paul and Lady Jessica are saying over the soundtrack. Are you the Sun, the Moon, or the Stars, and why? (I find people's interpretation if this question as interesting as their answer)
