  1. Hey everyone, I wanted to put it out there to fans in and around the London area that the first London based Club Cosmere Meetup will be happening tomorrow night from 19:00 at The Mad Hatter - nearest stations are Waterloo and Southwark. This will be a fortnightly event for people to get together, socialise and take part in cosmere-related discussions over a drink. The ground rules are simply - buy at least one drink of some form(alcoholic or non-alcoholic), be polite and treat people with curtesy, leave things like politics etc at the door, do not spoil things for people who haven’t read the same books and just have a good time! For anyone interested, just turn up and we will be at the back of the room and to the left - on the raised section. Thanks and hope to see you there!
  2. Summoning fans of Sanderson/Sci-fi/fantasy/general nerdy stuff, based in or around the London area. As I have been unsuccessful in finding any irl meetup events in the UK, I’m taking it upon myself to organise one(potentially more if there’s any interest). If you’re a fan based around the London area(or further if you’re happy to travel), and you would be interested to attend an event like this, I’d appreciate if you could leave a reply, so I can see the kind of number(if any) of people who would want to come. Personally, it’s not often that I get the opportunity to meet/talk with people who share similar interests - as all of mine are generally very niche, so I think that it would be a great opportunity for others out there in a similar situation to make new friends and have irl discussions about our shared passions!
  3. Are there any IRL fan meetups that have been/are being held in the UK? I’m from London, specifically, and I have a huge itch to meet and discuss the books with other fans IRL. I imagine there may have been some gatherings associated with Comic-Con and similar such events, but it would be amazing to know if there’s something a little more regular going on.
  4. True, I should have said so far. He definitely feels different to the other radiant Spren so far to me. A little like some of the more self-righteous Honor Spren from Lasting Integrity.
  5. Had to go with Syl as she’s such a sweet, caring and earnest character but I love Windle and Pattern too. That 0% for Ivory though. He really isn’t the most likeable Spren.
  6. I had to vote for Way of kings as my favorite and least favorite. Favourite because it’s the introduction and entry point to our story and in the first read through at least, brings all the intrigue and magic of Rodger and of the Stormlight Archive world to us fresh, fo rage first time and it really inspired a wonder and fascination in me. It’s also our introduction to Kaladin who is probably my favorite character, especially as I find his struggles very relatable. his journey towards discovering his power as a surge binder and his roller coaster story is inspiring. On the other hand, Way of Kings can feel very long at times and occasionally a little clunky in parts as it tries to emphasize certain elements within the story and to familiarize the reader with the world. I do remember being frustrated at times, especially on my first read through.
  7. Lightweaver for me. I saw it coming as it fits pretty seamlessly with my artistic inclination but I was kinda hoping for Windrunner anyway as I love Kaladin.
  8. Hiya London based fan here! Hope you’re all having a good day.
