"You hear that, Berin?" the Greenspine shouted, seemingly into empty space. "I think he means you!" Squall might be able to see a vine laying on the ground in the corner of his eye, apparently harmless.

Unfortunately my bird of choice is flightless. -
The Greenspine wraps a bunch of vines around the other tree and bounds full speed away from it. The trunk begins to creak, then it breaks and the tree collapses with a CRACK! The Greenspine rushes back at Squall, vines withdrawing from the fallen tree.

Sigismund nodded and refrained from skipping ahead. He sat down and idly juggled fireballs.

"Right. How long will they be in there?" He glanced at his watch again.

"That's exactly what I was thinking!" the Greenspine said, then it ate the twig. The Greenspine sent up vines to wrap around nearby branches, pulling the beast up towards Squall.

Sigismund swallowed. "It... it lets me jump forward in time. It also lets me reset things back to their original forms. For example, I can turn glass into sand, or paper into wood. I won't be giving it up, so if you don't like it then I'll just stay here until everyone else gets back."

"No," he lied.

"My... my watch?" Sigismund asked. "Or my magic? Or both?" He was okay with giving up his magic, if it would be returned to him when he left. But his watch? No, he would keep it with him until the day he died. Which was never, so long as he had the watch.

Sigismund stood around with the rest of the group, confused.

Please ignore the post above. The Dungeon King is currently being renovated, again. Expect a similar book to the one I've posted so far, but also there will be some major and minor changes to make it a better story overall. Thanks.
