  1. To be honest, I think that these people being from Sel is the most likely, due to Munin's posts. But I don't think we can say this is correct 100%. Elantris is like a transistor which transforms the Dor into something that can be controlled by the Aon's. While the Dor can be found everywhere in the Cosmere (i believe), the power which the Aon's use are affected by the distance from Elantris. For this reason, it is possible they're not from Sel, unless they have found another way of travelling without relying heavily on Aons.
  2. I think its either Taln or Kalak. Less likely is Jezrien (is that the correct spelling?).
  3. Yeah sorry, i don't have a copy of the book with me, and its been so long since i last read it.
  4. I think thats a good idea. Maybe each book has a title that refers to an ancient in-world book (e.g. The Way of Kings) while the series (i.e. The Stormlight Archive) refers to the volume written to cover the events of the Last Desolation.
  5. The Highprince of War, a document dictating the powers and responsibilities of the Highprince of War? Sounds like it would fit Dalinar perfectly.
  6. Maybe it shows that the two human races on warbreaker (can't remember the planet's name) and Roshar come from the same source, maybe a pre-Adonalsium shattering planet, which I have theorised as being the original place known on Roshar as the Tranquiline Halls. But now I'm going off topic. Basically my theory is that the common language element is due to a common ancestry, rather than these races being created by shards as happened on Scadril.
  7. Brandon says that after reading WoK, the crossover characters from other books will become easier to spot. Excluding Hoid, I have had little luck spotting crossover characters in other books. Anyone had better luck?
  8. If the Almighty held Honour, then I wonder if there was any interesting shard interactions to create certain things on Roshar. On Scadril, Preservation and Ruin had to work together to create because of their opposite natures, but also easily able to stop each other from affecting the world. On Roshar, as there are no obvious polar opposite shards, they should have more effectiveness in influencing the world, but could they still work together to create things, and what would be the creation of something the combines Honour and Cultivation I wonder?
  9. Maybe holding the shard of Odium for so long has stopped him from holding any other shard, like Sazed was able to. Anyway, I still dont think that the Almighty's shard is honour. Honour is only one part of magic system seemingly linked to the almighty's shard. There are other parts of it that are not linked to honour. I think that the Almighty's shard may be something a bit broader, maybe there is something in the magic system which reflects the Almighty's shard better but we don't know it yet as we don't have enough information.
  10. I'm busy with exams atm, but soon I will be free and can give a hand.
  11. Is it same as the symbol that appears on the pages which say Part One Part Two etc.
  12. What dows the symbol on the front cover of the book, underneath the dusk-jacket, look like? I have a different version of the book, so am unable to check.
  13. Maybe Hoid leaves some 'residue' in Shadesmar when he uses it to travel from planet to planet, that can be used to track him? I can just picture something similar to Jumper.
  14. I may not be remembering correctly, but in the WoK epigraphs didn't Hoid imply that Rayse did something to the shards so that no one else could use them. Maybe he did something more than just your usual splinter?
  15. Metal is the power source of Allomancy, I don't think the pool has anything to do with it. Moving this idea across the Cosmere, Elantris is the power source of Aons, so I don't think the pool affects the power of the aons, though maybe the aons resonate with the power of the pool, making them stronger? The tears of Edgli idea could still work though. The power of endowment is breath, not the tears of Edgli. The tears are more like atium is to allomancy. EDIT: Would that make Endowments name something similar to Edgli? Its been a while since I read warbreaker, and I can't remember where the name Edgli came from.
  16. I think the pool is the liquid form of Aona. However, since most shards we have seen seem to have a liquid form, we may see Skai's liquid form in a sequel.
  17. I found her calling them 'words' and 'ideals' but not oathpact, but I haven't looked properly yet.
  18. hmm...must be going senile. I swear i saw Jaddeth there, not Dahkor.
  19. Just looking at the Skaa coppermind page and noticed under notable skaa that Breeze has been mentioned. This is wrong! Breeze is a full-blooded noble.
  20. I believe, the not 100% certain, that the planet that Liar and Dragonsteel are set on is in the same solar system as Roshar...or am i thinking of another planet?
  21. No Jaddeth does not hate. It is Dahkor that hates. Odium's visit would likely lead to Dahkor arising, but I cannot see any connection between Odium and Jaddeth. I am interested to know how long Odium's 'visit' was for. If it was only a year or two, Odium could only attribute to Dahkor or the Roed (I think it is the latter). However, if Odium was on Sel for up to 100 years (which could be considered 'brief' by an immortal like Hoid) then he could contribute to both, establishing Dahkor when he first came, and leaving right after the Roed. (I believe Dahkor magic was around for many years before the Reod)
  22. Maybe someone should get into contact with Brandon/Peter and get approval? Or do we have to contact the publishers?
