    People of the Shard.

    I have realized something lately.

    When I joined the Shard last September, I did not realize how fun this thing would be. All the RPing, the forum games, it's all been incredible.

    However, I realized something important. My school year ended last week, so for the past few days, I've just been enjoying life. It's been great. Anyways, I got a lot of thinking done, and I have come to a conclusion.

    The 17th Shard is amazing, you guys are all so epic, and I am going to miss you.

    You see, I have decided to take a break. I don't know how long this break will be, but I just need some time to myself. Maybe I won't come back. Maybe I'll finally finish my novel (probably not, but one can hope)!

    Now, I know I haven't always been, let's say, a consistent sharder. I've joined a bunch of RPs and never did anything with them. Sometimes I don't post for several days, then post a bunch within an hour. So if I've ever left you hanging, I'm sorry. And I never got to know many of you that well either. I don't know half of you half as well as I should like; and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve. But I do know that all of you are amazing people (yes, all) and I will dearly miss you.

    This is the end. I am going now.

    Ferring! Yes! I have powers again! Time to wave all my big metal rods threateningly in public again!

    Konrad saw the storm fast approaching. I wonder, he thought. "Hey, Ede, d'ya think that's a highstorm?" he asked. "I could really do with some Stormlight." Yes, Konrad, I believe that storm is highly Invested. "Okay, great, I'm going there." Konrad set off towards the nearby highstorm. Before long, the stormwall was just a little ways off. When it was one hundred feet away, Konrad started moving backwards and inhaled sharply. The stormlight filled his body, leaving him invigorated. Be careful, master! Konrad smiled, and fell up through the air with the strength of a full lashing. Once he had cleared the trees, Konrad started flying back towards the center of the arena, towards the cornucopia, being careful to not get too far ahead of the storm that he would lose his Stormlight and fall, but not staying too close that he was hit by debris. One time, the stormwall did draw near and he was hit by a log, but Konrad recovered before hitting the ground and continued towards the cornucopia.

    After a bit, Konrad decides he needs an actual weapon. He slowly sharpens a rock into a point, then cuts down a small vine hanging from a nearby tree. Konrad fastens the rock to the point of his stick, and continues through the jungle with his new spear.

    Konrad mutters something about "storming trees" and turns back, continuing to head the way he was before. "Keep an eye out for me, okay Ede?" Yes, Konrad.

    Konrad spins around, swinging his stick as he turns.

    "Hmm." Konrad thinks. "What d'ya reckon, Ede? Think those are poisonous?" The chances of them containing poison is very high. "I suppose so. But still." Konrad pulled some fruit off of a tree. "Might not be." He didn't eat it yet, however. Just tucked it away for later. Konrad also picks up a thick stick he finds nearby and heads deeper into the jungle.

    Konrad headed into the jungle. "Okay Ede, here's what we're gonna do," Konrad said to his highspren. "First, we need supplies. We won't last long without them. Stormlight is important too." A sense of agreement filled him. The Hunger Games, Ede said. You'll never find a more wretched place of death and backstabbing. Konrad walked through the jungle, searching for water, food, or any other supplies.

    Konrad didn't hesitate to sprint directly towards the far side of the building and open the door, searching desperately for any supplies.

    Sage just randomly appeared, did some stuff, and disappeared.

    Well, that went fairly well.

    I had a piano recital this evening, so that was fun. I played Solfeggieto by CPE Bach and Theme from Interstellar, original score by Hans Zimmer.

    Everybody says I did really well, so hooray.
