  1. I wonder, if you somehow got enough anti-Investiture, could you make an anti-Shard? Likely there would be an explosion due to the Investiture in the Vessels soul, but becoming a Shard would prevent that from doing any damage. I figure they could then create humans with anti-Investiture in their souls rather then Investiture, and perhaps they could use anti-Investiture in their Invested Arts
  2. So I originally wasn't going to post this here, due to it being very heavily and obviously inspired by Brandon's stuff, but after browsing I see that lots of other stuff here is too. (Still, I did steal quite a few names admittedly) I have 7 chapters so far, so I'll post 1 every so often, tell me what you think. (I'm naturally editing this still, and writing it) No title yet Here's the prologue, hope you all like it Also I know this looks bad, I'll do line editing and such later
  3. Sanderson was inspired by real life for many things, they are likely Sanderson references
  4. Proof: Ruin and Whimsy are both Shards Theory: Yolen is Detritus
  5. Your idea with the metalminds/spikes gives me another idea, could you Awaken something with Breaths, then turn them into anti-Breaths, I guess you could trap a "Your Breath to mine" that way. I also wonder if you could use anti-Investiture to hurt/damage Nightblood.
  6. So naturally with the existence of anti-light, there could be anti-Breaths, anti-Dor, and maybe even anti-mist. So I was wondering if these things could be used for an Invested Art if you didn't have any of the normal form of Investiture in you. That meaning, could you awaken with anti-Breath, or use AonDor with anti-Dor
  7. Hmm, okay, so it would still be based on the shape of the landscape of Sel, but work on any planet. Would the Shaod still only take people in Arelon though?
  8. Oh, didn't realize AonDor existed prior to their Splintering, well that raises even more questions. Was it only usable in Arelon before? Did Forgery, Dakhor, Chayshan and Bloodsealing exist before? AonDor is clearly based on Devotion, while DakHor Dominion (assuming based on the skazes), but are/were Forgery and the others fueled by both? If anyone has any answers to any of these questions, please help me.
  9. So I figure that the Selish magic systems would cease to exist, and be replaced by something new, as the location based stuff is the whole foundation, and I feel it just couldn't work without that. It is possible, though unlikely, that the systems will still work, but anywhere, and maybe have different symbols used, I don't really know. Any other ideas?
  10. Basically here, we just share what other people guessed will happen later in a book/series by Brandon they are reading, hopefully something that's amusing in some way. For example, someone I know believes that the Nightwatcher is either a super strong spren like the Stormfather, or secretly Cultivation. This is funny because she's a super strong spren of Cultivation (near end of WoR)
  11. Hooray, I am now a performer of community service.
  12. I feel the main benefit of this, even if it does require extra Investiture, is you could change your age a lot more, while having been born at a different time could likely only be changed so much.
  13. hmm, okay, so the stamp would likely require extra Investiture, although the idea of overlapping them could work. The question is, I suppose, does having used Allomancy in your Forged past use the Investiture, or is it just having Allomancers being involved with it, which would be a lot less.
  14. Okay, but what if there just so happened to be a few Pulsers around in the past, combining their bubbles, possibly with harmonium, and you just Forged yourself so you were there, rather then being in time bubbles that didn't really exist, I feel that would require less, if any besides the base amount, Investiture
  15. I thought this might be easier, since you aren't changing when you were born, but how time passed for you
  16. So I was thinking, if you change your history with an Essence Mark so you spent a large period of your life in a Cadmium bubble or a Bendalloy bubble, could you become younger or older with an Essence Mark? Would that require additional Investiture?
  17. Heres some of the top-tier jokes it gave me Tell me a joke about Elantris Why did the Elantrian take a ladder to Elantris? Because he heard the view from the top was "aether-tastic" ... I... don't know... Tell me a joke about Lift Why did Lift order pancakes at the Rosharian restaurant Because she wanted to "Edgedance" her way through breakfast Yes, this was 3.5, not 4.0
  18. Brandon Sanderson got married while writing Warbreaker. People get married in Warbreaker. Pretty sure it's a clever Warbreaker reference.
  19. Yes, this is brilliant, updating OP
  20. Yeah, good, also I guess this counts The Atiummind, a website where all the youth hang out
  21. Oh my god I hope this is a thing in Era 3
  22. So in Mistborn, copperminds store information in a way, and so does the website, but what if we also had... The Steelmind, a marathon website The Ironmind, a weight loss website The Pewtermind, a website with workouts The Tinmind (@Ookla the Windwhisperer) with interesting pictures, sounds, and possibly other things once technology is more advanced The Brassmind, a weather website, to tell you the temperature The Zincmind, a website with free learning resources The Bronzemind, a website to help improve your sleep schedule The Cadmiummind, a website with plenty of good breathing techniques The Bendalloymind, where you can order food The Goldmind, with plenty of health tips The Electrummind, with motivational quotes The Chromiummind, with gambiling The Aluminummind, with blog pages The Duraluminmind, where you can contact your friends The Nicrosilmind, where you invest in stocks
  23. Saw a sword swallower, likely an Allomancy reference.
  24. After some guy attacked a bird and it ran away, they called it a "chicken" despite it being a parrot, they likely were a Stormlight fan (Also don't attack parrots please, that will not end well for you one way or another)
