    For the first time since they met the Once-Author looked up and his gaze was normal. “He’s gone.” He said. “I… can’t believe it. He’s gone!” He looked to Hacob, and then followed him to wherever he was going. “Thank you!”

    Dugh opened his eyes and looked up. He just sat there, looking at the monster. He pulled out a small throwing knife. Panting, he fumbled with it and dropped it. His breathing sped up as he reached for it again. His eyes widened as he looked up, directly into Lucette’s eyes.

    The Once-Authors breathing slowed, and he stopped fighting. He looked directly into Hacob’s eyes, and there were tears staining his cheeks. He got up onto his knees and threw his arms around Hacob. “Don’t let him kill me.” He whispered. “Please.”

    In a dark corner of the room there was a large lump. It shifted, breathing. Then it looked up, and in its eyes were crazed fear. “NO!” The Once-Author screamed. “I won’t let you kill me! I won’t let you! No no no no no no NO!!!” He leapt up and began to run.

    Not really I suppose. The tunnel led deep into the ground, straight down. Glowing green fungus speckled the walls and water dripped from the walls. A cold draft blew from within. Then, from deep within came a quiet, high-pitched whimper.

    Hmm… what to do. Do I lead you on a hunt? Or make this easy… A note floats in the air. It has an arrow pointing off to the side, towards a tunnel in the ground.

    He doesn’t see anything nearby, though he can see the Tin fountain with his tin enhanced eyes. There is probably water at the feast though.

    An announcement comes throughout the arena: The feast has begun! Contestants, get to the cornucopia as fast as you can! @SmilingPanda19 @Nameless* @Ravenclawjedi42 @Edema Ruh @ΨιτιsτηεΒέsτ @Scars of Hathsin @AltonicKeys Dugh crawls towards the cornucopia, sneaking behind anything he can to avoid the wolves. His breath is ragged and it looks like he hasn’t eaten or drank anything since the games began. He makes it the the stairs of the building and then collapses. He closes his eyes and tears roll down his face. He knows he isn’t going to make it.

    More stinging spreads, and more frogs jump on her. Her breathing speeds up, and then her body goes limp. Lucettes body has been injected with a poison. Her body will very quickly be mutated, and her bloodthirst has been increased dramatically. Her sense of humanity and desire to survive have been all but lost. Her desire to kill is all that remains.
