  1. They're making a new live action Avatar: The Last Airbender, but this time it's a TV series. So, hopefully yay?

To rephrase what I said in the other SU...

I'm skeptical. To quote my dad, "You can't improve on perfection."Β  The original show is so, so, so good. Amazing. Incredible. And I don't think you can tell that story in the same way in a different medium and have it live up to how awesome the original animated show was.

Based on the trailer, this show is closely following the episode structure of the original show, which makes me worried. I think this show has the potential to go well, but if it wants to do well, I think it should follow its own path, instead of trying to replace the old show episode for episode.

But I guess we'll see how it goes. I'm skeptical, but I want to be optimistic...skeptically optimistic?

Whatever happens, at least the original will always be awesome.

On the contrary I think the risk of it flopping would be higher if they choose to tell their own stories. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to hear some new stories, I just think those new stories would have a higher probability of not being respectful to the original vision.

I think they should do a mix of both, doing very very very similar storylines, yet throwing in elements that make it easier for live action. And, perhaps, making the first season stronger.
