  1. Stitch takes his newly roasted mushrooms back into his ship, and inspects the damage that the Largo took. @Ookla the Yellow Sock @Ookla the Believer @Ookla the Pastry @Ookla the Prehistoric
  2. “Well, I’ll see you for dance lessons soon. I will be more than happy to teach you.” Say something else! You love him! Say something! “It…I don’t think that it would be awful, to court you.” Blushing furiously, Aubrey exited the ball and made her way back home via carriage.
  3. “This is very good. May I ask your name? I myself am High Prelan Chefson Corbeau. I assume that you know of the recent attack on Pewter Ironworks? Well, it appears that the law enforcement in this city has done very little to find the culprit, and I for one am ready to take things into my own hands and try to find this criminal. I almost wish I was mayor, so that I would have greater control over the constabulary, make sure that they preform much better in the future than they currently do. But alas, I am not, and so I cannot make sure that the citizens of this city do as they are paid to do. And so I will take matters into my own hands, do what needs to be done myself, but I will need your help to do so. Thank you for agreeing, it has been very useful for me.”
  4. “Don’t say that! I’m sure we’re fine. It was probably just a cute little animal! Here cute widdle fowest animal. Come heeeeee-eeere.”
  5. Chefson Corbeau, streets of Alleycity A person with curly black hair and tattoos around his eyes and forehead stops Lei from walking further. “Sir? Are you quite busy? Or are you willing to do me, and our city, a great favor?” Corbeau asked. Please say yes. I need people to help me track down this person. Bring them in to face the long arm of the law. That is, if there are any laws in this place. Still, after Silverlight, after Luthadel…I’ll take what I can get.
  6. “That’s good. I would hate to court a criminal. Not that we’d be courting, of course! No. Definitely not.”
  7. "Good. I would hate to get in trouble with the law."
  8. What is the political system of Alleycity like? My new character is a politician who just arrived in the city and I need to know what sort of roles there are and how they are chosen. @Ookla the Glossy @Ookla the Windwhisperer
  9. “What?!” Aubrey glares at Miros, but begins to pack her stuff up. “We shouldn’t get in trouble with the law…you should go to, Owen.” @Ookla the Prehistoric
  10. Chefson Corbeau, Mistkeep, Alleycity Police Department Mistkeep branch Chefson Corbeau was many things. They were a politician. Mathematician. Philosopher. Monk. But Chefson Corbeau was not going to let warehouses get destroyed while he was in the same city! Only his second day here, but he was going to do some good this evening. “Officer?” he asked. “I’m asking about the warehouse that was destroyed, Pewter Ironworks. Have you made any progress in finding the culprit?” “Erm, no sir, we’re working on it. Details are confidential,” the nervous receptionist said, sipping tea. “Confidential, eh? Well, my good sir, I think that you officers of the law have made no progress whatsoever in finding this wrongdoer. And yes, I am aware that the warehouse destroyed was in the Mistwarrens, little more than a bidonville compared to this affluent part of town. But it is still a part of this conurbation that we live in, and the police here cannot allow such things to go unchecked. I will do the work myself—even though it should be the government’s responsibility to us—but remember that when your organization failed to deliver, I was the one who put the work into finding this criminal and bringing justice to our society. Remember that.” Corbeau swiftly left the building, and went to the warehouse. It was a horrible thing that they allowed these criminals to go unchecked. Still, if it made the public more trusting of him… He’d take it.
  11. “So we should enjoy the last few months we have! Or however long those scientists say! In love!”
  12. The Book Thief Marcus Zusak Historical Fiction Narrated by Death, this book set during World War II centers around the character of Liesel Memminger as her foster family tries to keep a steady income while hiding a Jewish person in their basement and Liesel falls in love with books, some of which she steals. The narration style takes some getting used to—especially since the narrator spoils elements of the book at different points—but it is an amazing book.
  13. “…what ghost?”
  14. “Why should I leave?! I’m having fun!” Aubrey appears very angry. @Ookla the Resolute
  15. “BOOOOOOOOOOO!” Aubrey yells before putting her hand to her mouth. “Erm, maybe I shouldn’t have done that.”
  16. “I should be getting to bed. See you in the mourning.” Itsuki drunkenly makes his way down the street until he reaches his flat and immediately falls asleep. His dreams are filled with images of Asylum murdering Vinette.
  17. As the music ended, Aubrey walked back to the table that was where Owen had been sitting. She wrote down her address on a piece of paper and handed it to Owen. “I live here,” she said. “You can come by anytime and I can teach you to dance.” As she sat down, she saw Sir Nahn Plaijer Karaktér leave the ball with a posture that indicated sadness. “Does anybody know why he left?” she asked.
  18. "It certainly is." Wait. Does he… like me? This was a curious turn of events. How had Aubrey gotten this Scottish Prince to fall in love with her, who had been sheltered to live essentially alone for all of her life before now.
  19. “I’m very glad. I can give you my address after this dance. I am so happy just to dance with you.”
  20. “You have nothing to be sorry for! And if you wish to become more skilled at dancing…perhaps I can tutor you?” Aubrey blushed despite the fact that the offer was completely non-romantic and would only involve dance lessons. It certainly was annoying to have such warm ears, visible to everyone, though.
  21. “That’s okay,” Aubrey said, smiling. She was very skilled at dancing, having taught herself in her spare time when Mother wasn’t paying attention and she didn’t feel like studying—which was a lot of the time.
  22. Aubrey started to move her feet in the patterns of a minuet.
  23. He’s asking me to dance! He’s actually…he’s actually doing this! “Very much so, sir.” Aubrey took his hands in hers. “Shall we?”
