  1. I roll a natural 20 on a sleight of hand check, and add my +5 dexterity modifier, along with expertise and proficiency. I have the sandwich.
  2. “I will not hurt them. I do not think I am an evil man.”
  3. Bloody knife, deep wound, life fades.
  4. That statement is just a plain lie, my friend.
  5. Absolutely incredible, I don’t know why I waited so long to read it.
  6. Edgar stood again, wobbling. He leaned greatly on Jenny, Gift flowing to him and bracing his legs. Weak @Lunamor
  7. Edgar smiled. Jenny was next to him, that was enough. More than enough. He didn’t know what more he could want.
  8. True! This is not the last post either.
  9. “For once I agree with you,” Edgar said, smiling slightly. Then he stopped himself. Roy had tried to kill him twice, he should hate him. He did hate him. It was just hard not to be happy with Jenny next to him, her body beside his.
  10. I’m glad you accept that!
  11. But for now, my post is the last!
  12. “I think we all need to get some food, it’s probably our best bet,” Edgar said.
  13. “I do think you’re really pretty, I wouldn’t lie to you,” he whispered, then turned to the rest of the group, wondering what they would say.
  14. But now I am successful again!
  15. “Yeah, probably.” Edgar was confused. How could she not understand how good she looked, both in the picture and in real life? “I’d take a picture of you,” he said. That had sounded very awkward, hadn’t it? “Like I said, you look great in the picture. But I think you look better in person.” He smiled at her.
  16. But this is a successful effort, see?
  17. “I don’t think any picture of you could be terrible,” he said with a blush. “That makes sense about your face though, we don’t want to be recognized. I do like the way it looks though. I wonder who took the picture?”
  18. “What do you mean? I think you look great. And I like your face.” He smiled back at her. Being around her made him feel the pain less. Maybe it was just because she was so distracting. It was a good distraction.
  19. He scanned it, though he wasn’t really paying much attention to the words. Something about dogs and grandmas. His focus was more on Josh own arm. He wanted to put it around her, not there seemed to be something stopping him. It was himself, he knew that. She had scooted closer…would she be ok with it? She had been before. Slowly, he slid his arm around her waist and leaned against her a little bit. He smiled, it felt good to be this close to her.
  20. Edgar collapsed next to her, falling a little harder than he’d meant to. He looked at her, seeming hesitant. He moved his arm towards her, then pulled it back, blushing again. You’re weak.
  21. She thought he was helpless. And she was probably right. He’d never been good at anything really, always the disappointment. He couldn’t even fight well, not even for her. He had failed. But, her helping him meant she’d be next to him. “Sure, that’d be nice.”
  22. “Umm…” he released her, blushing, his knees wobbling. His pain began to return as he left the flowers.
  23. “I was brought here by the gamemakers, bad men and women who want me dead. I am in your land only because I am trying to survive. I swear I will not harm you and yours if you will harm me or my friend.”
  24. “It is.” He stood up, wobbling slightly. He hurt, but not as much as before. Then, surprising himself somewhat, he wrapped his arms around Jenny, embracing her. “Thank you.”
