  1. Is this what people spend their time on? WHERE HAS THIS BEEN ALL MY LIFE!!
  2. 4 is the number of spikes before a person can be taken control of
  3. I think that SA happens during Mistborn era 3 so there may be events that change.
  4. I don't think they are stealing Connection per se, more like the Investiture itself.
  5. Human's can grow a gemheart using hemalurgy and those are a important part of bonding spren I think. The Rhythms can be heard because you have connection to the planet. Elantris spoilers.
  6. I agree it would be cheaper How can you? Navani did it using a vacuum so when the Light could hear Odium's to it instead heard its opposite. If you could inverse the Investiture before putting it into the spike that could be possible, but an already Invested spike would be hard to change with my knowledge. Don't forget you may have to apply it into a bind point to transfer the Investiture, not completely sure if you do however.
  7. What if you tap a large amount of F-duralumin and Connect to a spren then spiked them. Is that the connection you need to the spen or are Oaths different?
  8. The Coppermind says while in the Physical realm you use a metal spike to steal an attribute. Can you be in the Cognitive realm and charge by stabbing one of the candle-like souls. What if you spike a spren that doesn't have a bond? Can you gain surgebinding without having a bond?
  9. Szeth has enough strength of will could stop a shardblade. His honor to obey his oathstone made him walk on stone and murder so many people.
  10. We already have a script and the characters are designed as waveforms so if we could find a program that can turn those symbols into pronounceable letters. I want to be nerdy and if someone can help me in this endeavour I will pay for your time (A skymark per day spent on this task)
  11. My main use of them was how fast they are and how strong they are.
  12. I admit I was wrong about Chulls being greatshells but there are breeding programs to produce bigger gemhearts.
  13. Can use an aviar to protect yourself from someone burning A-bronze? Could Sak help if you were fighting someone burning atium?
  14. An aviar that protects your mind from things like Deathmaws. This is comparable to A-copper. Can A-bronze detect surgebinging or fabrials like a secretspren? Any others?
  15. If they were sapient it would essentially be humans using Ryshandium for war. They also say they have bred greatshells to have bigger gemhearts so the morality of these actions could be debated.
  16. They could also carry large number of soldiers (Or some lifeless whitespine) to supply the front lines. They can also carry supplies.
  17. The way I see is that young ones are taken from their parents and raised by humans. After breeding them for a while you have a good army. Spiking them can help for in depth control. The ropes would be an awesome use in war. I think the chasmfiend bonds mandra and that is what the gemheart is for I think. Breeding them is a better long term option in my opinion. How does F duralumin manipulate them though?
  18. So, what if Chasmfiend were domesticated and used for war? If different arts were mixed we can build a mount that can fulfill different uses. A Radiant who is also a Coinshot could launch themselves off a plate of metal on the chasmfiend to launch directly into enemy lines and shatter them. Those same plates can be used for maneuverability like when Kelsier was fighting that Inquisitor. Even just a Shardblade while riding one can be destructive. Aluminum plates can cover the legs so a Shardbearer can't immobilize it. Any other possibilities or uses?
  19. I say Harmony, I almost always have thoughts like using feruchemy and my thoughts always use these powers for my circumstances. Plus when you get the metal you can use it almost indefinetly.
  20. My band at football games will sometimes play songs their back at them songs except a half step higher without the music.
  21. Someone can tap physical or mental speed to increase chances of hitting and with a prisoner you can partially charge a spike, shoot it and even if you hit someone they would pause or collapse because of extreme pain and would be easy to capture or kill.
  22. I reread Stormlight recently and noticed some interesting wording about Heavenly Ones and Lashings I don't have the exact quote, but it said Fused don't use Voidlight except to use the occasional rare Lashing. Also, this isn't a world where you can just fly around; you need to use a Surge to accomplish something. Heavenly Ones can Lash themselves and only leak Voidlight when they heal. Venli can draw in Voidlight and hold it in her gemheart (to maybe power her form?) but can't use it for much else without Timbre and the bond. Gemhearts are another piece of the puzzle. All life originating from Roshar has one, these are harvested by humans to hold stormlight and can be cut to seal impurities so they leak less Stormlight. Gemhearts naturally grow in the body so I think when they are harvested they leave behind pieces or are damaged in some way. While inside a body they don't leak Light. Humans don't have a gemheart and are called an imperfect vessel for Light and I think that is the reason. When a Fused uses a Surge internally they hold the Light powering it in their gemheart. It escapes when there is a hole for it to leak through like a wound. Could someone find these quotes please I think they can help people understand what I'm saying.
  23. Could they store spikes? Spikes can retain their power while in a jar of blood so there might be a possibility for this.
  24. Preservation means something is preserved or saved and Allomancy is a positive end art meaning power is created so why are they related? Why didn't Preservation cause Feruchemy and also what shard causes Ferucemy?
  25. Fullborn versus unchained bondsmith! Running is not an option. Fullborn: Has access to infinite metals but no atium but if he wants to compound he has to do it during the fight. The metalminds can be filled a small bit before the fight so they can compound it. Bondsmith: Have bonded a spren. Have spent a long time studying their powers and have no boundaries. Who will win and how?
