I love reading, writing, and listening to music. I also greatly enjoy political theory, philosophy, and history. Specifically the Middle Ages. My favorite color is rose gold and my favorite fictional character is Túrin Turambar.

  1. Reread the Constitution for the first time in a while today. Stuff has me feeling patriotic. On to the Declaration of Independence, then the Articles of Confederation.

I can't remember where, but I was at one point advised to read both the Federalist Papers and the Anti-Federalist Papers, in order to get the full context and a more nuanced understanding of the founding. I have yet to do this, but they've both been at the top of my non-fiction reading list for some time. (The problem is I'm rotten at reading non-fiction.)

The Federalist Papers are really good and, imo, just as important to US civics as the Constitution. I haven't gotten to the Anti-Federalist Papers yet, but I am interested to see what they argue for and against.
