I love reading, writing, and listening to music. I also greatly enjoy political theory, philosophy, and history. Specifically the Middle Ages. My favorite color is rose gold and my favorite fictional character is Túrin Turambar.

  1. Here's a poem I wrote a while back.

    Spoiler

    Wartorn.

    Tested strength and vaunted heroes,
    Soldiers march in gallant rows,
Peace and laughter, strife and woe.

All out war, a glorious battle.

    Torture, slaughter, fallen morals,
To the victor go the spoils,
    Cannons boom, the thunder broils.

    Holy war, a liar's battle.

    Tattered flags and burning cities,
    Shattered homes and broken families,
    Fallen and buried bodies.

    Civil war, a hellish battle.

    Deadly men, assassinations,
    Murdered leaders, captured nations,
    Lying snakes and politicians.

    Proxy wars, a scheming battle.

    Grieving fathers, crying mothers,
    Buried sons and silent brothers,
    Empty chairs and wounded warriors.

    Wartorn families, battle broken.

      Marvelous

      And sad...

      War, what a crazy crazy.

I like how you presented proxy wars as a "scheming battle".

      I like it!

Gives me the same vibes as a couple of Coldplay songs: Viva la Vida and Violet Hill. (Which are paired on the album, by the way. The whole thing is a masterpiece.)

Thanks! I wrote it at like midnight almost a year ago. Maybe more.

It's the only good poem I've ever written.
