    Well, we’re approaching June. And in early June, there will be periods of time I can’t be active.

    June 3-7, I’m helping with my church’s VBS as a group leader, so I’ll be offline for a couple hours each night.

    9-12, youth group has a retreat and we have no access to our phones all day, so you get me late at night and early in the morning.

    Retroactive rping is going to be my friend that week lol.

    She set Lukas on her room’s wooden floor. The rift closed. She got three wet washcloths from the bathroom- one to clean the blood, one to lay on his neck, one to lay on his forehead. She lifted her arm for him to crawl under. “It’s okay. You’re safe now.”

    She put a hand on his shoulder. “I know you’re scared. But if you follow me, I can take you somewhere safe.” She picked up Lukas in a bridal carry and rubbed his cheekbone with her thumb. “Oh, Lukas…” she whispered.

    So yesterday was pretty amazing.

    I serve in nursery at my church and was with toddlers. There was one little girl who was crying because she missed her mom, so I got to spend like half an hour hugging a crying child.

    Then after I left, a girl who graduated to children’s church gave me a bracelet. Her family had gone to the farmers market the day before and she’d gotten a bracelet, then picked up another one and said “This one for [my name].” When I say I almost cried.

    That afternoon into the evening, a family in our church had a Memorial Day party and I drove their four wheeler, and two of my best friends did too. It was an incredible experience, including the times I almost got flung from the four wheeler. I also held a couple chickens.

    And then we went home and watched a few Parks and Rec episodes. It was a great day.
