  1. Trevor came over. “Are you alright?”
  2. Panicking, she reached into her bag and pulled out a rope. ”If this hurts, I’m really sorry.” She tied the rope around its shoulders and started to pull. “Elan! Souls! Help!” @Ancient Elantrian @TwinSouls
  3. “What do you mean? Of course you do.”
  4. But they were not orange. They were distinctly redlow. “One day you were the sweetest little boy I’d ever met. The next, you were trying to kill me. What changed?”
  5. “Stop! We need to get out of here!” she yelled to the boar. @SpiritOfWrath
  6. “I have some questions I need to ask you.”
  7. He nodded and kissed her cheek before working on the plate.
  8. Rather than the glurple stairs leading up, she found the redlow stairs leading down.
  9. “I have to stay here. But if you head that way…” He gave directions to the glurple stairs.
  10. “Take the glurple stairs. You’ll know.”
  11. “Yes.” He grabbed a crystal key that felt like ice. “Go up to the eighty eleventh floor and look for the crystal door.”
  12. “Do you know how to find out what you need?”
  13. He raised an eyebrow. “People will treat you the way you treat them here. If you want to be shown kindness, show it to others.”
  14. Meron left Mark and helped her.
  15. “Lukas,” she responded, void of emotion.
  16. Crocus put Lily to bed, returned downstairs, and brought a plate of food, silverware, and a glass of water back up for Marewill. They didn’t talk while Marewill ate, and after she finished, Crocus took the dishes back down. When she came back upstairs, Marewill and Lucky Red were lying down. The dog had already fallen asleep, and Marewill looked like she wasn’t far behind. Crocus lied down next to her and cradled her within her own body. She set her head against Marewill’s and wrapped an arm around her. “I miss him,” Marewill whispered. “So do I. So does Meron.” ”Why did it have to happen? Why did it have to happen to him?” ”I don’t know. But, in some ways, it was good, right? Sure, lots of things went horribly because of it. But however the method, you wouldn’t have your sister if he was alive. You wouldn’t have met Flemr.” ”Well, yeah, but… I don’t know. If I could have known what was going to happen… I still don’t think I would have wanted to lose him.” ”I understand.” They fell silent. Eventually, Marewill’s eyes closed and her breathing steadied. Crocus stayed. Not long after, she followed.
  17. “Can I help you with something?” he asked, his patience growing thin.
  18. “Yeah. Yeah, let’s do it.” “I’m the doorman.”
  19. “Yes. I’m sure. … Thank you.” “Trevor.”
  20. “What do you mean, what?” She breathed out. “Okay.”
  21. “Can I… help you with something?” She leaned forward. “What did he say?”
  22. “Oh, hi.” She smiled and rubbed her eyes, seeming less tired now. The door opened to a tan man with slicked back hair. “Hello. Welcome to the Insanity Clinic for the Moderately Branfandonitis Afflicted and Other Maladies.”
