  1. Farenah, new Hallandren, IRS truck Farenah, remembering her training, scrunched her face in confusion convincingly. “Surrender? You’re the one who jumped us! Now, I would come out and make you pay for the damage you’ve caused, but unfortunately I need to my friend here to the hospital.” She looked out the window to see New Halandren guards arriving. “Officers!” She called out. “This Scadrian landed on our truck!” One of the officers came over to the window and tried to reassure her. “Don’t worry. just wait right here. We have it covered.” Farenah gave a practiced smile. “I’m sure you do but I need to get my colleague to a hospital, so we will be taking our leave.” The officer sighed. “I’m sorry, the new protocols say we have to search the vehicle. We can give take them to the hospital for you.” Farenah sighed, “I understand.” Then, she turned and put her foot on the gas. the guard cursed and pulled a rope off of his belt. He muttered something and the rope sprung out of his hand toward one of the wheels of the truck. Thankfully the truck was faster. Farenah let out a sigh of relief and looked out the front window to see someone blocking the road. Ah, she thought, I forgot about the allomancer. @Steel Speedster @SpiritOfWrath
  2. Farenah, New Hallandren, IRS truck. Quickly swapping places with a stunned Tulen, Farenah took the ween and slammed the brakes. The truck suddenly stopped and as she had not rebuckled her seatbelt, Farenah did not. Thankfully she didn’t go flying through the window, but as she lifted her face from the wheel, she felt a bit of blood run down from her nose. “Colors!” Farenah exclaimed as she noticed Tulen who, thank Austre didn’t seem too injured, had clearly been knocked unconscious. She checked his vitals before looking out the window for signs of the mysterious man. @SpiritOfWrath @Steel Speedster
  3. Farenah flinched as something landed on the hood of the struck. “Colors!” She cursed as she quickly opened her window and stuck her head out. Farenah was greeted with the sight of a man who, by the small hum coming from her torso, was clearly invested. Also he had a gun. As she hurried back inside, Farenah quickly called through the slit in the wall, “brace yourselves!” Then she turned to Tulen and stated in a flat tone, “hit the brakes with full force.” @SpiritOfWrath @Steel Speedster
  4. As Tulen started the car, Farenah remembered something. “Oh, and put on this.” She handed a colorful cloak to the scientist and then put on her own. “Makes us look like everyone else, also great for concealing weapons.” After fastening her cloak, Farenah called through the slit between the front and back of the truck, “we’re heading off! Stay quiet and make sure nothing falls!” @Steel Speedster
  5. It’s not an armored convoy. It is one truck that is made to fit in with the local style and has aluminum lining (that is most likely painted as to not be suspicious)
  6. What do you mean? If you are thinking Leon is just wandering around then one, he’s probably being chased still and two, why would he care about a random truck? He would maybe notice that there are barely of any blue lines coming from the truck but why would he think anything of it. BTW, I think this interaction would be interesting but I think that you need a reason why Leon would be suspicious of a disguised vehicle. also @SpiritOfWrath can I assume that Tulen has started driving?
  7. Farenah, IRS truck, New Halandren Farenah sat in the passenger side seat of the UFO issued truck. It was fitted to look like a normal new Halandren cargo truck (Though trucks weren’t that normal to begin with), but was lined with aluminum and more than one secret compartment for storing weapons. She unfortunately had company. Tulen sat in the driver’s seat, and his Alethi companion was in the back with the cargo and two IRS soldiers. There was a small slit between the front and back of the truck for communication between the two groups. Tulen asked a question, and by the tone of his voice, Farenah could tell what he meant by it. “If you are wondering whether I am endangering the operation by leaving then you either think me much more powerful than I am, or you think our command structure and procedures are fragile. By your previous actions I doubt the former.” Farenah looked the drab straight in the eyes. “Let me keep this brief: I don’t care how much experience you think you have, if you are under my command you follow orders and don’t question them. I have been a part of this war for over 5 years so I assure you that I know what I am doing. If you think you know how do my job better than me than you can go and try to fight a 6th heightening awakener yourself.” Farenah calmed herself and hoped that the soldiers in the back had not heard her outburst. She had let her emotions take control again. “Just drive, the map is on the dashboard.” @SpiritOfWrath @Steel Speedster
  8. Farenah and company will be heading through New Halandren to deliver some valuable weaponry. My plan is that they will be intercepted by the high alert guards. Would anyone be interested in having their character be present in such an exchange? If so inform me so that I can tag you in that post.
  9. Farenah, IRS weapons depot, New Halandren. Farenah’s eye twitched at the clear disrespect of the scientist. She was already stuck as a babysitter of a literal storehouse, and now this snobby drab (which was an unusual mix of words) comes to help her operation an expects that he has any superiority to her! Farenah took a sharp breath in, lowered her hand, and relaxed her posture. Now was not the time to make new enemies. “Well, you came just in time Tulen. We have been preparing to deliver a large supply of weaponry to the other side of the city. I highly suggest you go with them.” She paused. Although it would be good to have a scientist to help handle this specific cargo, she might have to keep an eye on this one. “I will also be joining this one as well, as it is of particular importance.” One of the nearby agents suddenly turned their attention towards the trio. “Fara, weren’t you instructed to stay here and supervise the warehouse?” Farenah turned to look at the agent and gave them a glare that said ‘if I have to stay here for five more seconds, I will personally see to making your life under my command as painful as possible’. She then said in a calm but firm voice, “I assure you that this operation will not be jeopardized by my absence. We will follow the chain of command: tell Victor he is in charge until my return.” Farenah turned back to the newcomers as the agent scurried away. “Now then.” She said her voice genuinely relaxed, but her smile still fake. “Follow me. The truck is just this way. I assume you can drive Tulen?”
  10. Great question! A rough explanation on how each of the special tech work is on the UFO guild thread though you can make some slight alterations to the means of communicating a result (Farenah’s for example, vibrates at the anti-stormlight tone if there is a concentration of over 1 BEU nearby) As for the abilities of an ISD. I think they can only detect the presence and intensity of active investiture, and to know what type of active investiture, you would have to run the output through a system that can tell the difference between different signal frequencies or something which is not something that UFO can do yet.
  11. Farenah, IRS weapons depot, New Halandren. Farenah stood tall as she tried to accept her new position. It was an important position, overseeing the distribution of weapons was important. But it was also very boring. She stood in her beige uniform that had been stained by her and awakener blood alike, it was clean now but remembering her action filled assignments made her think of how bleak this one was. her boredom and restlessness was pushed aside as a drab and his bodyguard approached. “Ah, you must be Tulen.” Farenah said, holding out a hand to the scientist. “My name is Farenah, though most people call me Fara.” As she got closer to the man she focused of the small device under her coat. No vibration, so he wasn’t invested. It’s pretty easy to spot a drab, but she just had to be sure. @Steel Speedster
  12. Richard Peterson, UFO HQ Richard smiled dispite Tulen’s concerning eagerness. His anger was useful but also made him unpredictable. ”Shortly an agent should arrive. Her name is Palava.” Richard pulled up a picture of the Alethi woman. “She will help you with your task.” Richard sighed and let his voice become less professional. “So here’s the secret mission. You are to head to the address I just put in the chat. There you will find an IRS operation.” Richard kept himself from laughing when he abbreviated the Idrian Resistance Society. The acronym itself was funny, that’s why he chose it, but what was even more hilarious was the fact that he was one of the only people who got the joke. “You are to help with the handling of the Anti-Investiture Weapons being stored and distributed from there. When you arrive you will have to use the codeword ‘to be, or not to be’ which they have been informed to respond to with ‘that is the question’. You will get more instructions for the leader of the IRS operation. You got all that?” @Steel Speedster
  13. Richard Peterson, UFO HQ Richard strode into his office with a cup of coffee and a to do list. Looking at the next item on the list he saw “Assign someone to New Halandren weapons distribution” Oh yeah Mel insisted that one of his supervised weapon distribution because then at least one person who knew how his stuff worked was there, but he didn’t really see the point. Weren’t her agents trained with them? Richard sat down, put down his coffee and made sure his hair was right. Looking into a small mirror on his desk, the only way he could describe his hair was that of a person who got a little too acquainted with electrical currents. Perfect! Richard looked through the list of engineers and electrical engineers that everyone else unanimously called “the scientists”, which is better than being called “the nerds”, that were currently in Alleycity. Not many were but some are needed on standby to be rented out to sects. As he scanned the list one name caught his attention, a scientist who had already insisted in being in New Halandren and was probably extreme enough to fit in with the Idrians, Tulen Hental. The problem was that the thing that made him good for the job also made him not ideal for keeping the Idrians in check. So he would need someone who can follow orders to keep him in check. A quick call with Mel and he got another name, Palava Maves. An order from Mel should be sent to her explaining where to find Tulen. Now for the mad scientist himself. Richard pulled up his computer and started the video call. “Hey Tulen,” he said once the call started. “I have a job for you.” @Steel Speedster @SpiritOfWrath
