    heheheheeeeeeeeee Cory rolled slowly to face him. She couldn’t stop shivering. “A-Are you okay?”

    The wall slid open to reveal a surprisingly well-furnished rest area. There were lots of pillows, a couple of blankets, and even a mattress.

    And there it was, like she’d promised. She fished a pendant from underneath her shirt and handed it to him. “There should be a ridge on the wall. This will fit into it.”

    “Should be eight… seven more steps…”

    24601 Cory was half-asleep, one arm slung lazily over his shoulder in what had once been an attempt to help support her own weight. “Go just a little farther,” she ordered, half-mumbling. “There’ll be another seam in the wall… if you stop there, I can open it, and we can rest.”

    She tried to stay relatively upright, but she found herself resting her head against his chest. Atlas had curled in her lap, and she, surprisingly, didn’t mind. The air became warmer as the staircase descended. It seemed to never end. Cory’s eyes drooped.

    She blushed, teeth chattering. She couldn’t feel her body anymore. She nodded.

    She opened her mouth to say yes, but quite frankly, she wasn’t sure. She hesitated. By now, the wall had opened wide enough to allow passage through—it revealed a spiraling staircase downward. A dim glow came from somewhere beyond the staircase. “We need Hades’ help to find Charybdis.”

    AAAAAAAAAHAGAHAHAHAHA HEHEHEHEHE HES SO CUTE GIGGLING KICKING MY FEET I SHIP SO HARD “I’m a little dizzy,” she admitted. The wall started to part at the seam Corysande had found earlier, just above the water’s edge.

    “The entrance,” she panted. “It’s opening for us.” She gulped down more air. She felt a little dizzy, and her knees were weak. She’d never done this while mortal before. “I-I’m okay,” she stammered.

    After almost two minutes, Corysande resurfaced and gasped for air. She stumbled back, almost plunging under the water again, but she stumbled back against Holt instead. She clutched his arm. The wall rumbled loudly, and the cave began to tremble.

    Her fingers found something—a ledge or a crack of some sort. She traced it down below the water, then took a deep breath and disappeared under the surface. Several moments passed. Long, long moments.

    The water was chest-deep at the wall. Corysande ran her fingers over the rock, searching for something. She muttered under her breath.

    Their path sloped down into freezing water which grew deeper with each step. Corysande went straight into it, towards the wall.

    Atlas mrrowed. “Ah, here we are,” Corysande said, breaking off from the main path toward a wall. She beckoned for the others to follow.

     hello humans

    i spent my first 2/3 of the day at my friend’s house practicing with her and the rest of our audition group for show choir auditions on monday

    then we went to hyvee and got food and came back and all shared a blanket on the couch and watched youtube together 

    feeling confident on our material, we’re doing it again tomorrow

    uhhh

    yep

    im gonna do my chores and work on my art project

    also have to work on my application for spanish honors society

    and keep reading the great gatsby

    but i’ll just listen to the audiobook while i draw

    feeling kind of randomly down and tired now that i’m back home

     mostly just lonely

    but uh

      my day's been pretty uneventful so far, but I'm getting ready for a church dance rn :)

    The cave slowly became colder and colder, until their breath turned white in the air. Atlas yowled uncomfortably, scratching Holt’s shoulder.

    They didn’t do much. Cory grabbed his hand and tugged him forward.
  23. kajsa ㅇㅅㅇ
    It seemed like a pretty normal cave. Very dark, and darker as they continued. Corysande lit herself up with a blue glow to illuminate their way. There were huge stalagmites, plenty of stalactites, and even a healthy amount of columns and other rock formations. Sometimes a bat squeaked, or something scurried across the floor, but it seemed pretty normal. And then there were the skeletons.

    Corysande nodded. By then, they were at the mouth of the cave. "Don't freak out in here, got it?'

    time to get my thumbnails approved by my art teacher so i can start on the actual sketch :P 

    and then i'll scan it into my drawing app AND I'LL COLOR IT AND IT'S GONNA LOOK SO GREAT HEHEHEHEHE

    i do need my phone for references tho cuz i have all my refs on pinterest and i can't access it on my school computer
