    “We’ll be just fine,” she repeated. “Hades likes me anyway.” She said the last part like it was a curse. He liked her… a little too much. Especially when Persephone was away.

    “We’re gonna be just fine,” Corysande promised. “I already told Hades we’re coming. The dog’s been taken care of. I just need to talk to him regarding Charybdis.”

    She finished his back after a while. The aching wasn’t totally gone, but it was almost exponentially better.

    She knelt behind him and squeezed his shoulders. “I… I’m not sure.”

    “Okay.” She went on healing both his legs, then his arms, working the muscles a little. She gave him a hand massage, too. “Do you want me to do your back too?”

    “Mhm.” She ran her hand over his leg, trying very very very hard not to blush and somehow failing miserably. “T-tell me if I—if I make you uncomfortable…”

    oh? She gently put her hand on his leg. The aching lessened where she made contact with him. “Is that better?”

    She nodded. “Can I touch you?”

    She moved over to him. “Where are you sore? Arms and legs?”

    “I… sorry.” She hesitated. “I might be able to help with your soreness.”

    After an hour or so, she did. She stretched, taking a deep breath. night!

    Cory didn’t warm up much, not for a long time. She thought she was going to die. Mortal lives were so fragile… She eventually stopped shivering and drifted off.

    Well, in that case… She climbed back onto the mattress and did her best to go to sleep.

    “Here.” She scooted off the mattress so he could have it. “You deserve that more than I do.”
