  1. "I'm sure I don't know what you mean," Dilsha said coolly, pulling out a knife and giving Alex a nod. "But I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask you to leave."
  2. Dilsha blinked. She had wanted to know once. Wanted to know everything there was to know. She wouldn't have dreamed of hurting anyone. "Whoops," she muttered. She glanced at the paper, then at Wilhelm. "Right. Uh. Nope. I'm from a small village, I just got here a few weeks ago, I'm running the inn and waiting for my parents to arrive and help me." Strangely enough, the last part doesn't seem to be a lie to Sono. Dilsha nodded to him, eyes glittering with mirth. "Can I help you?" Dilsha shoved down the urge to shiver. This man was...disconcerting.
  3. Dilsha frowned. Such terrible handwriting. Who taught her? Is that even...rot and decay, but I miss the palace. "You will let him be," she said sharply.
  4. Oh lol. I think season 1 started that way, but... It's evolved xD
  5. "Let him be," Dilsha muttered. "Alex is...like that. Nothing anyone can do about it."
  6. WAIT IS THERE WHERE I WANT IT
  7. Dilsha sighed, looking very tired. "And where would we have met? Uh. Your highness. Sir. Mister."
  8. Dilsha pushed past him and out to the bar. groaning softly. She saw the prince there, and fought the urge to spin on her heel. "Can I help anyone?" She called to the now full room.
  9. “Nice to meet you, Sono.” It wasn’t, but that was an easy lie. Dilsha threw up her hands. “Sure! You’re a bouncer. Congratulations on your first job.”
  10. She gave him a flat look. "When was the last time you washed your hands?" "An architect..." Dilsha nodded pensively. "That could be useful. Welcome to The Rotted Inn. You can call me Dil."
  11. "Then stay," Dilsha said, knowing it was true and hating it. Ah, Decay. I never did learn to control that temper of mine. "I could use someone to clean the chamber pots." It might be nice. I'm tired of having to check the spirits' work every time. "Or make stew."
  12. "Sure." Rue stepped back from his door and started walking down the hall.
  13. Dilsha paused. "Actually, maybe we should talk about that...later." "I want you to get out of my inn. I want you not to even imply anything about me. And when this country goes up in flames, I want you to burn with it." Dilsha grinned. "But realistically? Just keep my secrets."
  14. Rue shook her head. "I don't know. Light, but I'm tired of that."
  15. "Stay out of my kitchen, urchin!" Dilsha screeched, shoving Larceny out forcefully. "Everyone lies," Dilsha said coldly. "There's always more than you can see on the surface."
  16. "Might as well," Rue said. "I have nothing else to do."
  17. Dilsha sighed and handed it to her.
  18. Dilsha gave her a cold look. "You should keep your nose out of my business next time."
  19. Rue snorted. "What a strange life this is."
  20. Dilsha took a long breath and pulled a pin out of her hair. She poked her thumb and watched a single drop of blood well up, then pressed it onto Sono’s arm before she could react. She muttered something, then said “Silence.” Immediately, Sono felt like something was attacking her voice box, her throat, her tongue. “We’ll figure it out,” Dilsha muttered, watching Sono.
  21. Rue shrugged. "Not fall out of the clinic into the void we're in, preferably. Maybe get the clinic back to where it belongs."
  22. Dilsha frowned. "What do you want me to do about it?" Dilsha let a flush creep into her cheeks. I'm not half bad at this! "I just--heard about what happened at the palace, and didn't want it to happen here."
  23. "Lovely," Rue said sarcastically.
  24. She could see lies? This would be hard, then. "I...might know something about Decay," Dilsha said quietly. It's the truth. "Which one?"
  25. "What is this, an interrogation?" Rue laughed softly.
