  1. "What is?" Dilsha snapped, looking annoyed. This is fun! "Look, if you're an undercover inspector, just tell me. You can see that my kitchen is in order." Dilsha jumped. "Stay out of my kitchen!"
  2. "I don't know what I want," Rue said smoothly. "Safety, perhaps."
  3. Dilsha blinked and gestured at the kitchen around the, at her humble dress and stained apron. "What makes you say that? Look, I just run my inn. I don't know what you want from me, but I don't know anything about the Decay. I barely even know what Decay is!" Inwardly, she grinned. That was good! Doesn't know what Decay is...Dilsha was one of the most practiced people in the world with her magic, and Decay was only a tiny part of it.
  4. "I shouldn't want either," Rue said, but she didn't move.
  5. I'm also here. It's a beautiful poem.
  6. Rue shook her head. "I don't know. Either very good, or very bad, I think."
  7. "I'm not sure," Rue murmured, eyes distant.
  8. "Nope! I've never even been to the palace!" Dilsha said, and then she was gone. Dilsha frowned. "Why would I know anything about the Decay?"
  9. “Sure!” Dilsha said. “Uh…yup! Let’s go!” She gestured for Sono to follow and walked back into the kitchen.
  10. “Hey.” Rue’s voice was flat.
  11. Dilsha shoved down her fear. The prince is an idiot. Everyone knows that. We’re fine. Everything is fine. “I’m still pretty new in town, uh, Sir, er, your high—uh.” She flushed. “I don’t think so.” Ah, I’ve always been a terrible liar.
  12. Dilsha stuck it in her pocket. “If you’re sure, then,” Dilsha said. Rot and decay, don’t let him recognize me. “If you change your mind, you’re welcome to let me know.” She handed him a key.
  13. Rue knocked on TAAron’s door. @Ookla the Abstract
  14. The best sort of fishes though
  15. Zira shifted back into herself. “Spirit,” she acknowledged. Then she paused and turned to Ezrium.
  16. “Do you need anything?” Dilsha asked. “A drink, maybe?” Dilsha stuck her tongue out at him. Peasant relationships were so interesting! Dilsha raised an eyebrow at the gold bar. That was almost half as much as her daily allowance back home. “Of course, uh, your highness.” She almost giggled, but years of diplomacy lessons held it in. Her. Calling someone “your highness”. The novelty was wonderful. “Would you like a meal first, a drink maybe?”
  17. -_^ You be a fish. YOU ALL BE FISHES.

  21. There's no other explanation. Absolutely none.
  22. So this is with my bestie Liz, she's from a project that I'm really hoping will actually go somewhere. But since I mostly write short scenes and then connect them later, you can still read it and enjoy it even if you haven't read anything else I've written with her To Siylna:
