tl;dr - writing plays is a bop and I’m lowkey fire

so waaaay back in December we had a theatre assignment to write a 10 minute play. And I did, but didn’t do a ton of effort or anything because I was SO busy.

well.

there was a 10 minute playwriting contest so my director was like might as well submit them

so I did

Mid January they were like “you’ve advanced! Rewrite it and then move up to the next league”

so I did

then they were like “welcome to semifinals, give it another rewrite!”

so I did

then they were like “welcome to finals give it one last rewrite!”

so I did

then they were like “congrats you got second! We aren’t paying you lol but you get a recording of theatre students doing it”

so I was like huzzah, that’s brilliant

and then tonight they sent me the recording

first of all, literally ON THE FLOOR LAUGHING one guy is definitely gay and it’s also so embarrassing

my director is gonna show the class tomorrow so…that’ll be L O V E L Y

and second…

this feeling is addicting. I want to spend the rest of my life hearing my words in other people’s mouths.

i want to hear audiences laugh at a play I WROTE.

the world will hear me
