They were mentally linked because he hadn't severed it, otherwise he wouldn't have had the concentration to search across the dimensions to call her there while still fighting Feanor. But he doesn't really care about the hideout so he'll probably forget about it. And don't forget, the place is shielded but Platypus is a quick learner, he might have been able to follow her. Probably not though. Man, it feels weird to have Platypus referred to as one of the more powerful, the idea of him being used as an example of how hard a thing is to find is bizarre.

Internally, reaching across dimensions, he called out to Subversion. Subversion! Get your lazy, egotistical self over here. The presence was Spook and now he wants to fight Thaidakar. Suddenly Platypus was no longer locked up. He looked ahead and Saw. He Knew. He was one with Plot, and Plot was one with him. Then he felt it sliding. But he knew that Feanor couldn't die here. He couldn't allow it. But Spook couldn't die either. He needed to get Thaidakar out of here without Spook being able to follow him. Platypus shuddered, knowing how mad Spook would be when this was over. Platypus grimaced as he lowered his Narrationblade. "Spook," he began. "Look. I get you hate him. He deserves it. I hate him. But he needs to leave. He and I are too evenly matched, but if I fight on your side, he would overwhelm us both. We need him to go, so I can stop being Plot. And if you attack him, I will be forced to fight for both sides, and the battle will last for just as long as it would if I continued to fight him. Forever. Plot has made it so, and powerful as I am, powerful as you are, powerful as your father is, none of us can stop Plot. The Wheel weaves as the Wheel wills and all that stuff. Now is not the time for fighting. There will be a time. But now is not it." Platypus stood in between the two, father and son, his mission to halt the fight. He bound Thaidakar to the dimension with some careful Narration, and turned his back to him. Then he stood still, facing Spook, leaving his back exposed to the man he had wanted to kill. that's fine, I'm just lucky that you post at convenient times for me
