  1. Platypus looked around. "Well, Subsy, I'll be seeing you later." He grabbed a hold on the tapestry that was plot and shifted a few threads, transporting himself and Hacob back to his lair. "Ok Hacob," he said, sitting down in an armchair. "We have a lot to go over."
  2. why'd you quote me for that? I don't have any say in that. I am doing an entirely different thing right now.
  3. "I don't think that it'll work the way you think... They don't have more control because they were an Author, if anything they'd have less because it's so different down here." Platypus turns to the Once-Author. "Look, I'm not going, so I'll give you the advice right now. Set up something that prevents Desolation's dampening of your powers. Also, make sure not to bring me, Hacob, or Subsy when you transport cause Unintelligible will get angry."
  4. "I won't come, but not cause you said so. It's because I have more important things I need to do. There is... stuff that is going to happen that I need to prepare people for. Hacob will come with me. He will join you later, if you want him. You might not want him later. And... Desolation didn't try to take my Narration until just barely, him not trying to take someone's Narration is no proof that he can't."
  5. Platypus laughs. "Unintelligible, are you listening? I. Don't. Have. Narration. And it's not like you could stop me from coming if I wanted to. But I digress. How do you propose we leave? I don't have Narration, Subsy doesn't have Narration, and I bet Desolation will absorb the Once-Author's Narration, because make no mistake, that is Narration that is just on a different level from ours. So how do you suggest we leave?"
  6. Platypus smirks. "If you don't want Narrators, you don't want Hacob. I don't have Narration. Haven't had it for a while, actually. Just been using plot manipulation. And Unintelligible, what are the odds that Desolation sees you don't have any Narrators then disappears and comes here? I think they're pretty good... We'll be along later, then we can use the Plotblade."
  7. That's not how that would work. You know the part about it being untraceable? I meant that. And also due to plot things I have in mind later down the line, that wouldn't be possible for reasons you see later down the line. For now we'll just go with the fact that Platypus has been fighting without Narration. He didn't have any for that fight. I'll explain more in a mega post later. Desolation has no new Narration. Platypus smiles, then floats to the ground. "That's exactly how I wanted that to go." Platypus smiles at Subversion. "Sorry Subsy, but I need Hacob here with me. I need to explain something to him, and it will take a long time. We'll show up later." I'm not particularly happy about how @Aeoryi decided to make things play out, but I can work with it. It actually kinda goes along with my current ideas
  8. "Where did you even get that?" First Platypus cut the threads that came near him, then he knocked the Nohr-Maul blade aside so it wouldn't steal his Narration. Then Platypus purposefully Connected to Desolation's mind. He made sure the connection was untraceable, then he started whispering commands, using the voice that he had heard when he killed Thaidakar, the one he suspected Desolation had heard too. Don't kill him. I have a plan for him. Hopefully that would make it easier to kill Desolation. I've been thinking of doing a little bit with Ennulers. I will probably consult the authorities (zephrum's emporium) on what they can do and use that when I do my stuff. Look, I've been gone!
  9. there is a dome in the way, and Platypus is pretty closed off anyway. The energy rebounds, like there was something in the way, and goes back into Sleeper, knocking him backwards. Also, the Platypus-Desolation fight is too high up to be seen by anyone except perhaps Falvan while he's flying. Speaking of which... "Falvan, would you go fly up and keep an eye on Platypus fighting Desolation? I'd like to be able to know what's happening," Kilometers asks him. Right now I have a plan for how to kill Desolation in a cool way once you give permission, it involves Falvan being in the air.
  10. A Narrationblade shoots up from the ground, destroying the golden threads around his chest. Platypus increases his attack, strength and speed increasing.
  11. yeah, i felt serious Star Wars sequels vibes from that. The whole actions don't actually have consequences now theme.
  12. Platypus cut through the strand with his Mordite blade and knocked the blade away with Vengeance. Then he faded, and only a blurred shape remained as he started running and attacking, constantly slashing and stabbing. He left certain... traps behind him, nearly undetectable. Most of them wouldn't be detected, but he did leave some that would be detectable. They mainly involve Narrivitum blades. no, it is kind of close though. it is more of what boy is to girl, different things, and perceived as opposites, but they don't cancel each other out. Does that make sense?
  13. it's impressive that they can see the metals in the ink, but with this info, it makes sense
  14. can inquisitors read???? I thought they just had A-steel/iron sight. Maybe I just forgot, but I don't remember if I've seen a WOB about that.
  15. Platypus looked around, gauging the terrain. "Your move Desolation," he said, eyes flashing, reflecting the light of Vengeance. His blades all emited a small glow, excepting the Mordite blade that seemed to be absorbing the light from the other blades.
  16. "Worst case is that everyone is already dead..." If you have powerful enough Narration and you have the Author's permission (assuming its an important character). We don't Narrate important things w/out permission.
