I had a multi-stake dance last night. Was fun. Some talking with friends, some swing dancing, a couple slower dances, some folk dances (that I didn't do, they get very boring :P). Learned some new moves from my friend. More on that:
SpoilerA bunch of my friends go swing dancing, and I said I'd come with them if they taught me some moves first, so we started that process. I knew the basic and a basic twirl, as well as how to get into cuddle position, so we went over the "triple threat" move. I need to work on that one, but it's fun. I'm planning to make my sister learn/practice more with me, but she moves out soon, so I gotta hurry.
Got asked to dance (which is cool, it was towards the end after the organizers stopped trying to get people to go ask others), and it was one of my favorite songs (Knee Deep by the Zac Brown Band). That was fun.
Also feel really bad. My friend in my ward and I went to go ask two girls also from our ward to dance. I asked the older one (cause I'm older than him), and so he asked the younger one (they're sisters). I found out later that he likes the girl that I asked.
Got home and my sister had a bunch of our friends over (which I didn't know was happening), so they teased me a little, and then we had a good time.
Today I went to my friend's farewell, he'll be leaving soon. Hung out with friends, said bye to him. Been a good weekend. Have to go back to school, which ain't great, but what are ya gonna do

it's a position is swing dancing where it's kind of like you're cuddling. You're side by side, both hands held, etc. To get into it, you do a basic twirl but instead of letting go with your right hand, you hold on. It's kind of hard to explain.
