It continued to move after Nera, who was luckily slightly faster. "Now do something!" She shouted. Maybe Lusha could push it over on it's face or something. The dart sinks into one of it's legs and the mimic slows down a little, clearly favoring that leg, but it isn't stopped. Eublechs blow dart stuns the mimic for a few seconds, making the shot easier. It hits the inside with a loud thunk. The creature makes no noise, but now appears visibly enraged. -------- The bandits scatter into the forest. After several minutes of chaos Jerehlu manages to gather almost everyone back into a main group. He seems cheerful as ever despite what happened, and doesn't question Alvar's decision to stay. The bandits travel about 1o minutes deeper into the forest, stopping at an abandoned and falling apart building that may have once been a way-stop for some old forgotten road. From the bandits you learn that this is one of many little hideouts they have throughout their territory, not the main one. Here, they spend the next while tending to the wounded and trying to figure out who was dead or not. Jerehlu begins drawing up plans to cut off the wagons later down the road once the party gets moving again. -------- The mimic swings one of it's massive pincers at Heartache, momentarily turning away from Nera. -
Olivia followed her inside, surprised that it wasn't in disrepair or something. Being left untouched was almost scarier. Liv appeared behind Astrid. "Do you have a history of hallucinations? How much sleep did you get last night? Have you had any alcohol?"

that did not last long ladies and gentlemen
but, it's over and I'm home now so I don't have to think about anything for at least 12 hours.

"Hmmmm I suppose, but I would keep my hopes up. Something messed up is happening in there."

"Okay . . . But if there are anomalies all over the place they may be destroyed."

Nera nodded. She ran to the side, knife in had. The mimic lumbered after her, slow but intent on chasing her.

"Yeah this thing is not going down easy." Nera tossed her crossbow aside and pulled out a dagger. "Try coming at it from behind alright? I'll distract it."

It slipped free of them, the box and armored legs seemed to be made out of slick material.

"Nobody fall into the pit okay?" Liv said slyly, "I can't heal you from that."

"Yes. I don't have a confetti canon, but I do have cake and noise makers."

An arrow embeds itself into one of the boxes wooden sides, but it doesn't seem to hinder it. You catch them in the middle of fighting a massive mimic. The box it's in is about 3 feet by 4 feet, but the legs and pincers make it bigger.

"Thanks," She grunted as she made it past the first quarter point.

Upon closer inspection, the center of the spiral had a small, almost gone chalk rune drawn on the floorboards. A spell. "Can't you shoot inside the bow or something? Get it's guts?" Nera asked. She let a bolt fly, but it bounced off of one of the mimics armored limbs.

"Okay, let's throw a party." Penn said hitting his fist into the palm of his other hand.

She rips it out, unsatisfied with how much strength that would take. "Okay, I'm going to try to go up--you guys stay on the lookout for ants and monsters and stuff, okay?" @Ookla the Violist @Ookla de los cuervos Sharlin wrapped her arms and legs around the tree and started shimmying up. She did use her knife to help her, but tired not to stab it in as far so it'd be easier to retrieve.

"Iconic." Penn turned to Weaver, "So, how exactly do we get out of this place? She'll know of any escape plan we have so it'll have to be good."

Sharlin squinted at a nearby tree. "That's gonna be a doozy to climb . . ." She pulled her dagger out, and stabbed it into the bark, hoping the tree was soft enough that she could use it as a handhold.

The scorch marks seem very fresh and are still al little warm to the touch. They cross the wooden boards in a spiral pattern, the center near the middle of the wagons floor. The bag is neat and orderly, and was closed before Eublech looked inside. It's filled with basic travelling supplies, a change of clothes, and the notebook Lady Genuhk was taking notes in. --------------- Nera hopped out of the blue wagon, cursing loudly despite herself. Behind her, a shadow filled the wagons doorway and as Nera began to sprint away, a large chest-like mimic burst out. Long pincers coming out of the chests opening pried itself through the doorway, cracking the wooden beams. "It must have been a trap for bandits!" Nera yelled as she dove for the crossbow, more then a little embarrassed she'd fallen for it.

"Yeah . . . I'm not sure what other shelter we'd find, unless you can think of anything else," Sharlin said, studying the area for a tall, sturdy tree. Won't there be more evil plants on trees like that? "You'd think they'd be mostly low to the ground to get large prey like us, but I'm no biologist."

I thought today would be stressful but it's actually a really good time so far !!!!
