  1. I've actually never seen either of those! Hmm okay -Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. It's amazing it's fantastic it's one of the best pieces of fiction in the fantasy genre. Just gonna copy paste the synopsis because I'll probably describe it weirdly: "Brothers Edward and Alphonse Elric search for the Philsopher's Stone, hoping to restore their bodies, which were lost when they attempted to use their alchemy skills to resurrect their deceased mother. Edward, who lost only limbs, joins the State Military, which gives him the freedom to continue the search as he tries to restore his brother, whose soul is tethered to earth by a suit of armor. However, Edward and Alphonse are not the only ones seeking the powerful stone. And as they search, they learn of a plot to transmute the entire country for reasons they cannot comprehend." (fma has 2 anime adaptations, Brotherhood and 2003. I've only seen brotherhood because you can't really stream 2003 anywhere. Brotherhood is also a much more faithful adaptation of the manga, so in general the writing is better--whereas 2003 had a completely different ending because the manga wasn't done yet when they made it) -I also really like Frieren: Beyond Joureny's end. This one is more of a traditional fantasy, and is much slower in pacing, but the writing is fantastic. "Taking place in a fantasy world, the story follows Frieren, an elven mage, as she embarks on a journey to reach the resting place of souls in order to reunite with her former comrade Himmel, whose Hero Party once slew the Demon King." -Komi Can't Communicate is also really good, not a fantasy but a typical high-school slice of life thing. Generally the genre isn't my vibe but it's really well done and super funny. "At a high school full of unique characters, Tadano helps his shy and unsociable classmate Komi reach her goal of making friends with 100 people." I could keep going but I'm tired

      I actually understand that.

I usually make my member title about my latest obsession though. Or at least a reference.

I considered briefly making my PFP a transmutation circle, though. Or the Homunculus Ouroboros to fit the theme.

  10. Aki nodded. He'd seen steam boats in various harbors his whole life, though he'd never been on one. For all he knew they could fly. "I guess it just seems strategically better to believe the thing that would give me an advantage, even if it's only a chance."
  11. "Not if you don't believe in them!"
  12. "It's not pretending. If I don't think it's real, then there's a chance I'm right and it's not real."
  13. "Nah, if I believe in them, then they really will be real."
  14. "Yes that is always an option, there are a lot of things you can get possessed by, not that I believe in them."
  15. The kid seated in front of me immediately filling out the schedule change form during my first stat 1040 class has to be a bad omen.

  17. OH MY GOSH ITS RAVEN HI RAVEN MISS YOU DUDE Right, I think I was also remembering a bit wrong as well . . . like I said, it's been several years.
  18. Welcome to the Shard! I'm more then happy to leave the cookie discussion behind lol Do you like bagels? If so what kind? What's your least favorite Cosmere character?
  19. "Hmmm but ships don't have wings." He contemplated this deeply. "I suppose they fly through your magic reasoning, huh."
  20. Yes, that's what it was called, thanks! I remember now. That isn't true . . . I think. Have you read the manga? The arc that the OVA covers is towards the middle-end of the original story. (If memory serves, it happens directly after one of the longest arcs that reveals the backstory of one of the main characters). It's the story where they go to a post-apocolyptic version of Tokyo, and they run into the vampire twins, right? I'll admit, it's been a few years.
  21. @The Bookwyrm
  22. Yeah, as others said it's incomplete, and the studio handling it stopped because it gets a bit darker and more violent. I am remembering some kind of tv-special sort of episode group that covered an arc much later in the story, but I don't remember what it's called. I think it is a Funimation thing--back in the day you could see it on their website but I believe ownership rights surrounding Funimation have completely changed since then. There was also a Tsubasa theater feature, it's about an hour long and was played back to back with an XXXHolic (another story of Clamp's) feature. It's like a mini movie, the entire plot is original from the manga. It honestly wasn't that good, and your not really missing much. I will say it was fun to watch because the animation quality was significantly better then the rest of the anime. I believe I found at on DVD at the library, so I'm not sure what service (if any has it). The manga is worth checking out, it was my middle school obsession, and it was fun to see where the different character story's went. It's ending is a bit confusing, but that's the nature of the story, I'd say. Tsubasa is a bit of a crossover of other Clamp works, Clamp being the mangaka team that made it. For example, the witch at the beginning and her assistants have their own anime/manga series called XXXHolic. I haven't read it myself, but obviously the Tsubasa episode those characters are in is a crossover. Sakura from Tsubasa is also technically an AU version of Sakura from Cardcaptor Sakura, one of the most iconic magical girl anime of the 90's. I think at some point T-Sakura makes a cameo in Cardcapoter, but once again I never finished the manga or anime so I don't know for sure.
  23. Aki frowned. "But you Nick said you people couldn't teleport? How'd you get to other planets?" He seemed unconvinced.
  24. "Ummm," Aki said. He'd never met a little Kami who lived inside spectacles. "What's your favorite food?"
