Penn turns to the white cloaked figure.
"You don't happen to be the Grim reaper do you?"

Feisyyd smirked a little. "So you consider yourself lucky to be here?"
Cloud rolled his eyes.
"I should have guessed you'd take it that way."
He was smiling though.

"Quite the opposite, actually."
"ah, so we are having the highest be 1, I seem to have got it backwards."
Pen continued to slash through zombies. The shadows watched patiently.

"Hm... I'm going to tentatively give him a score of three hundred and six."
"That's fairly low isn't it?"

"What do you think it was that brought you here just minutes before the Assassin arrived? Luck?"
"Yes."
" . . . Maybe you should sit down."

"The Force has a will of its own; and a difficult one to define."
Cloud stared at her.
"Uh-huh, that's very nice, when was the last time you hydrated Miss Witch?"

"Did you mean for one to be the strongest? I thought 14,000 would be strongest."

Just now, Ancient Elantrian said:
“Yep. You’re not a human.”
“Probably nigh unto twelve thousand and one.”
“Those exist?! I thought it was a myth!”

"I don't think there's anything wrong with being a morty... ah, 'human.'" Zodiac shrugged, then exploded a Nightmare with his mind. "Being weak just means you get to do what you want."
"On a scale of one to fourteen thousand, how killable is 'he'?"
"Anything below twelve thousand would be preferable of course."

The shovel man gripped his shovel tightly, still shaking with terror. "You still don't understand. He's not here yet. He always sends the dead first. It's only if they don't get the job done that he approaches."
As if on que, an even louder grinding noise came from the forest as more bone-corpses approached.
"One thing at a time, my good man." The corpse fell with a final slash at it's legs.

“Bah! Fine! But know ye that thyself is bound by magic to fulfil thy word.”
“Well… you know what, to come out of hidernation in what manner might better itself than to go with inexperienced adventurers and make humor of them! I shall accompany thee! But know that ye shall not rely thyself on me.”
“Huh. Ye yourself is intriguing to myself. I shall meet with thyself also.” Dragon bound him with magic.
“Ah! I knowest that fellow! This shall be great! We are oldest of friends!”
“I cannot die.”
“I have slept mine own share of slumber. I shall not fall again for a multitude of Milenia.”
“Alas! I do have uttermost complete control of mine own mind! I may help thou think of terrible things however if you desirest!”
The dragon stepped forward. “DreamDeam! It has been…Many many long years! What havest you been up to? Reveal thyself to mine own eyes only!”
soon I will send a full explaination about the nature of dragons.
"Ah, so you did decide to join us," Penn said with a smile. He dodged a clawed swipe form the boney-corpse-thing.

Just now, Nameless* said:
"Still. If you all run, I could lead them away, buy you more time until morning. I-" The man with a shovel took a deep breath. "You shouldn't have to die at his hands."
Penn stabbed the creature again.
"We're doing just fine."

Just now, Ancient Elantrian said:
“Not sure. I’m hoping my nightmare doesn’t come either. It could be your amount of magic, or control of your dreams.”
“Maybe ten seconds left! We’re still stuck, just get in a better position!”
Penn stabbed the boney corpse thing, trying to get as much damage on it as he could before it started moving again.

"But then... why hasn't my nightmares showed up yet?"
"Perhaps you do not have nightmares?" Penn asked with a shrug.
He run up to the boney thing and made a slash at it with his sword.

The man with the shovel steadied himself, backing away from the monster. "I... You should all run. Once I die all the nightmares I'm making will go away, right?"
"Such self sacrifice is noble, but I'd rather not watch a man die tonight. Besides, there will still be nightmares to fight once your gone, what's one more?"
Penn angled his sword at the boney creature. Hopefully, this was something he could kill. Unlike shadows.

Just now, Edema Rue said:
Xiylna narrowed her eyes. “How can you tell me that hard things can be good when you so easily ignore your own nightmares?”
He kept smiling, "Well because I'm a hypocrite, obviously."
"you can't expect a man to be perfect." He reached to help her up.

Just now, Edema Rue said:
“Y-yes,” she says, eyes charcoal. “Yes, I think so. She shivers, her cloud temporarily dispersing. “I don’t want to be a human.” She notices the shadows. “What are those?”
"Nothing." Pan said with a smile, "There's nothing there."
Quotewoooo happy 2000 that's a really big number!!

Xiylna thought about it for a moment, then pulled away. “No, she finally said, sounding calmer. “No, no. To be human is to be weak. To be human is to be temporary. I am neither of those things. I should not be afraid, for I am not human. I cannot die, for I am already dead. Thank you.” As she speaks, her eyes harden to black and she slowly fades back into a cloud of vapor."We good?"

1 minute ago, Channelknight Fadran said:
"Ohhhh. A morty. Gotcha."
"Mmhm, our friend here is becoming one, I think," Penn put a hand on Xiylna's shoulder.

Just now, Channelknight Fadran said:
Zodiac's free arm had extended into a twisted, vine-like length of thorns. It impaled through several of the Nightmare creatures, which he had convinced himself were not made of mayonnaise, but instead plain butter on plain white bread.
"The heck's a human?" He asked.
"A mortal being, able to love and hate, I think there are a few here with us," Penn glanced at the man with the shovel.

1 minute ago, Edema Rue said:
“No, no no,” she whimpered. “I was human, once upon a time, I know. I know. I lived a human life, yes, yes I did, oh yes I did.” She started to cry. “Look, look, you see? I can cry. I shouldn’t be able to cry, humans cry, I don’t cry, I can’t be human again, I can’t, I can’t, I can’t, I can’t. Please, please.” She looks up at him, her human eyes shockingly blue. “Please, please don’t make me live. I don’t want to. I can’t do it, I can’t do it, no no no, can you help me? Please?”
"I know it's hard, but sometimes hard things can be good."
Ironic, the shadows in the corner of his eye seemed to say.

2 minutes ago, Edema Rue said:
“NO. DONT.”
“I—I used to breathe, once, I…I can’t. I can’t do it, I can’t go back, I can’t become this, I’m not, I—help. Please, please, someone help me. I can’t be human alone. I can’t be human, period. I AM NOT HUMAN.” Xiylna starts to hover above the ground, only about an inch, and she still appears human, but it’s something.
Penn moved over to her in an attempt to distract himself from the shadows. They didn't attack him, they knew they wouldn't need to.
"Is there something wrong with being human? It might not be so bad," he said, trying to be comferting.

2 minutes ago, Ancient Elantrian said:
“Of course not.” Weaver said. “We’ll probably die. If not, then we can bring him back.”
"Oh I have no problem with dying, I just detest nightmares is all." He slashed through another shadow, avoiding looking in it's eyes.

"Okay . . ." Penn said, swinging his sword at a shadow nearby. He recognized it's face, but blatantly chose to ignore it. It was just a nightmare, right?
"This isn't as fun as I thought it would be."
