    "We'll probably have to get back to the Clinic... I don't know how we could get his attention here."

    TAAron paused to think. "What about Lerac? He's an excellent healer, and he probably knows way more about magic than we do. Maybe he could help, or at least come up with something."

    "Where do we go next, then?"

    "It's not important to you to stop, then?"

    TAAron brought her to the bookstore, pointing it out. "Do you recognize it?"

    "Oh. You made a beeline for it when we passed on the way."

    "Do you want to go back to the bookstore?"

    TAAron did, then closed his eyes briefly and reinstated the connection.

    "I can just reform the connection. She wanted to give it a try, but we're thinking we'll have to think of a permanent magical solution."

    "Yes, but in a different way. I can establish a mental and emotional link between people. I did that with us, and a while later when I removed it this started happening."

    "Well, she might have had a period of significant stress shortly before it started? It's hard to be sure exactly what did it because it only manifested once I disconnected my magical link to her. That link seems to hold it off, I cut it again just recently so you could see the symptoms."

    "Not right away, I don't think. It just started recently."

    "I think she gave it up because it was becoming dangerous in her situation."

    "Ah. Yes."

    "We think it has to do with her lacking her magic."

    "She's confused. And it seems like something is wrong with her senses."

    "Can you assess her?"

    "We're getting you looked at by a doctor. I could... try to find marshmallows later."

    TAAron took Haly's arm to guide her in.

    "This is Haly. She's having some odd symptoms, we were going to get her looked at."

    They arrived at the doctor's.
