    Attacked? The points shifted and made a vaguely humanoid shape. "I'm Turing, by the way." His voice now sounded solid, like that of a person's.

    A distant voice sounded. Hello? Do either of you know what's going on? More points of light appeared.

    He hugged her back tightly. "Okay." He sniffed. "I'm sorry, I'm just a mess right now."

    "Okay." He took a deep breath. "What did you learn from looking around?"

    He felt a wave of relief, and she could feel it from him. "Thank you. I love you too. But if it hurts you to hold on, I need you to promise you'll let go. I couldn't live with that for any number of years."
