  1. Yeah. I don't know. I guess we'll see?
  2. The story was depressing?
  3. Did you read You, Disappearing? That's kind of the vibe. And the environmental magic will be mostly occasional, subtle stuff, at least at first. It might not take multiple people, and it might not be all that fun if you don't even have a character as well...
  4. There's a lot of people interested in this, wow. Welcome!
  5. Perhaps, though we'd have to coordinate.
  6. I don't know, maybe you could. Though I don't think we're doing zombies. I think I would be good for it since I mostly originated the magic idea we're going with.
  7. Yeah, so I would maybe be in charge of developing the apocalypse, doing general external magic stuff, etc. I was also considering doing an enigmatic magical character, just for fun and vibes.
  8. I don't mean to be in charge of other people's magic at all, this would all be external, ambient stuff as the apocalypse ramps up.
  9. That sounds good. I think maybe also for this keep it limited to one ability as opposed to entire systems and whatnot. Do you have this in the other thing, that being having someone in charge of ambient magic and such? I was thinking I could do it, since I don't plan on engaging as much with the romance. It would only be input, not control. Like, "something about this ball felt off, but they couldn't place it" or "they saw a movement out of the corner of their eye, but nothing was there when they looked."
  10. Well, I think people can figure out how to make a minor, subtle magical ability. If we wanted, we could have everyone post their ideas before we start and kind of see what everyone thinks? I think a limitation that would be good to have is something @Ookla the Yellow Sock mentioned, which is no dimensional travel, world travel, teleportation, etc. Basically we want people to have to stay in this doomsday situation.
  11. I mean, maybe. But still, small skills would be ideal, and they don't necessarily need combat applications.
  12. Does not seem like much discussion is happening... Hm. We've come up with the idea of everyone getting to choose a small magic skill (if they want to). As the apocalypse grows near, that skill will get more powerful, but given the setting and theme, I don't see the need for any intense magical battles or whatnot. I was also thinking some interesting ambient magic stuff could happen. The only thing with that is it would need someone to control it. Not to control other people or their actions with it, just to add some input and flavor.
  13. Alright everyone, there's kind of one larger element to consider, which is the magic. It hasn't take been discussed much. Based on my understanding of the setting and general vibe, I think a subtler approach with softer magic would be best. We can probably have everyone figure out their own magic, but we might want some parameters because it's not meant to be the focus, really. I'm interested to see what people's ideas are.
  14. Antin grunted as the knives pierced his chest, and fell to the ground.
  15. They were deathly pale, having been submerged in freezing water and left it in the cold for hours. They were alive, but their breathing and heartbeat were barely noticeable.
  16. Erin was cold... so cold. They tried to stay awake, keep their eyes open... It was too much. They fell unconscious.
  17. Erin, having guess it was him but not really daring to be sure, tried to push through the shock, fear, and relief of seeing him there. They slept pulled him up and out of the water using the branch, then collapsed, with him in their arms, into the snow. @Ookla the Shadowed
  18. Sorry. Yeah, I at least don't plan on doing any sort of administration after the RP is actually going, but we do need to get it going. I imagine @Ookla the Yellow Sock would be fine with anyone else who has something to contribute regarding the Regency Era or thoughts on the apocalypse.
  19. No, I'm saying that we've already reached a conclusion and so are just working with a few people to create this first post.
