Nothing had changed. He was just gone.

Terrance faded away before she reached him.

Terrance lay motionless on the pillar.

He could not think, only be for a few final moments as he was consumed. @Lunamor

Elsie felt a wave of terror as Terrance hit Chaos. He felt a sensation like burning, and cold, and pain. He couldn't scream, because it was so loud that there was no real sound.

He was silent as his hands gave out and he began to fall.

"I can't."

The pain of holding on, and of slipping, unfortunately felt very real. "I think I need to let go."

"It's just a dream." His voice was quiet and flat.

"I can't... trust..."

"I can't." He slipped a little further.

"Can't... hold on."

His hand pulled away sharply, and she heard the crunch of stone as he slipped slightly.

She heard a grunt from the edge of what was now a sharp cliff.

"I don't-" Just then, the ground beneath Terrance crumbled, and he fell.

"I'm not entirely sure."

"We also don't have much choice there. We were given a prophecy."

Terrance shivered. "We... don't seem to have much of a choice."
