    Murr watched it from the tree he was atop of, wondering if he'd be able to reach it without climbing down.

    The woman only gave her a glance before returning to her hushed conversation.

    He didn't respond. As she left, she saw that the woman who had given her information earlier was now among the onlookers, speaking quietly to a few of them.

    He continued to watch her with a frown, though he didn't seem quite as angry as he had at Sigismund.

    He frowned at the mention of rumors. "No. You should be on your way, traveler."

    "Who are you to ask these questions?"

    "He is on the village council."

    "His work? Somehow I doubt he wants you around if you're sitting out here instead of being invited inside."

    After he left, the man rounded on Réva. "And you! What are you doing sitting around the councilman's house?" @Spark of Hope

    "Leave, stranger."

    They looked horrified when he cut it off, and one onlooker was sick. Some looked surprised or relieved when it regenerated, but there was no adoration from the crowd, especially the angry man who now stood right in front of Sigismund. "You and your tricks are not welcome here. Leave."

    They almost all backed away, looking startled. A few bristled at the sight, and one man started forward at Sigismund, shaking his first. "What do you think you're doing, coming to our town and throwing fire around? I don't know what you two want here, but whatever it is, you can forget about it! We don't need more trouble in these parts."

    About ten townspeople now watched them, some shocked, worried, or afraid, others curious or surprised. Some had seen or heard Sigismund's attempts to get through the window, but others just saw that two strangers were sitting outside of Lee Anders' house.

    The lightning made it hard to tell if there was another flash or sound that came from the window, but there was another expression of sparks. Parts of the window frame and wood around it were left charred by the strike.

    As soon as part of him crossed the threshold, there was a blinding flash. A blast of unseen force pushed back at him, leaving his ears ringing. Hot sparks sprinkled his skin and the ground around him.
