Because they wanted to end it the way they wanted to end it. The show ending on its own terms and then restarting on its own terms was the best thing to happen to it
I watched it with my brother the other day. I liked it. The voices and animation are both a little different, but not worse. I think I like the voices better, the animation doesn't make much of a difference
