    Sure! The cell was mostly made of stone speckled with Nullite. The side facing the hall was bars that seemed to be either made of or plated with Nullite. The gaps between these were about three inches. Rose beckoned her over.

    Rose nodded. Bat leaned into Tam and let himself cry until he didn’t have any tears left. How hasn’t he seen how strange everything was? The council would never adopt someone so young as a member. Even if she was some kind of prophesied chosen one. They’d never let Rose basically rule them, they’d never let a Narrator into a governing building, and they would never, ever be happy to see him. But… for a minute, he'd really thought they might. He took a shuddering breath and wiped his face. “Thanks. Sorry. I— I’m good now.”
