  1. “So we trust him, then?”
  2. “Hmm. I’ll be watching you. Where would you like the mineral deposited?” Night. Thank you. He slid carefully into the hammock. Rose would have been offended if she were awake.
  3. Bat wedged himself into some branches. It wasn’t uncomfortable, all things considered. Rose would probably wake up sore.
  4. “Bat,” she sighed. “Is strange. He breaks things when he gets emotional— Nullite things. The damage is only temporary, however, and I can’t fathom how it works.” He glanced at Cricket. “And… Cricket will be okay?”
  5. I can hear your incorrect spelling, you know. Are we gonna go find this Fear guy or not?
  6. “Mmm. I have indeed. They did well— hidden for a long time. If that Bat character hadn’t tried to steal Gaioh’s soul, I never would have known they existed.” “Okay. I hope so. Are you gonna be okay sleeping up here like this?”
  7. Bat climbed back up. “You think she’ll be okay down there?” He worried about Cricket too. He’d been so noncommittal all day… maybe his Author was just busy. He was prolly gonna hug him like an idiot when he came back.
  8. I guess I should But idk I like my TLT yk?
  9. “Thank you.” He smiled, but… he did wait until Rose was asleep to climb down and give it to her. “Bars of metal. One hundred pounds of Nullite.” She spoke to him again. “I promised them victory. I became the source of great power.”
  10. He grinned, twirled his pistol, and holstered it. Was that everything?
  11. “I know. It just… it’s not fun to feel small.” She welcomed the feeling. Maybe this would all go away when she woke up.
  12. He located the figure matching the description (still wearing his spectacles) and shot him.
  13. She smiled. “Is he nice?”
  14. What the heck is HG
  15. They were met with several important looking people who didn’t question Malevolence’s presence at all. “Thank goodness you’re back,” the first man said, almost monotone. “Don’t pretend. It’s all right.” He stood up a little straighter, eyes unfocusing. “Several pounds of Nullite has been stolen. You apprehended the children briefly.” “Mmm. Yes, I know. This man wishes to know about Bat. In the meantime—“ she turned to him. “How much Nullite would you like? And what form— powdered, solid, ink…” “You… you won’t let her die,” Bat mentioned nervously. “Right?”
  16. “DO YOU WANT ME TO DIE?” She yelled, more angry than scared. “I’M TRYING TO COME TO TERMS WITH SOME VERY T-TRAUMATIZING—“ She stopped, muttered something like “screw this”, and curled up at the base of the tree. Ill respond in a lil bit
  17. I wish I could promise to join but I’ve been so swamped lately… *sigh *
  18. The author promised. Bat wasn’t sure why he found that idea so funny. But he laughed anyway. “HEY,” Rose bellowed. Then she dashed across the sand toward them.
  19. Rose swore again. “Bat! Tell your girlfriend to do something!” Bat blinked, momentarily stunned. Then he snorted and started laughing. Bat’s author thought how sad that was.
