    He paused at the end of the front of the building, then stepped forward. The worst that could happen was he float away, after all.

    He watched her go, a smile growing on his face. She was so... well... there weren't really words to describe Tam. None that he knew, anyway. He took a couple steps, getting a feel for the new direction, and slowly shifted into a run.

    "It's so still," he whispered, staring down at the nothing beyond the tiny shed. Well, the everything. He took a breath. "Onward! To the roof."

    He yelped and grabbed her wrist back. wait so he's floating in the stars now right? Oh, this actually wasn't so bad. For a minute he'd been ready for gravity to do... something.

    "Take your time, kid. Everything can wait."

    "The roof?" The roof! That would be so cool! "Yeah! That sounds like fun. I bet if we're really careful we could get up there no problem. Maybe even float!"

    He watched her for a moment, then looked back out into the infinity. It was almost dizzying, thinking there was so much of it. Briefly, he wondered whether the sky where they'd been was like this at night. He'd never payed too much attention, since things were always happening. He got to pay attention now, though, sitting on the edge of a warehouse with his friend. He liked it. Better than he had before. He didn't dare move, hardly dared to breathe, lest he scare away the feeling.

    Gesundheit Blech. Dumb word. I'd rather write about guitars or something. Blechhhhh. On another note, Fish came back from underground and set her chemical weapons stall back up again. I was nowhere near this. I was in France hugging my mother. *hug* :D

    He shook his head. "If that's silly, then the ten minutes I took trying to count them all last time was probably pretty stupid of me."

    I geshundteit. No I'm not googling it I refuse to Google that it's a stupid word and should be prosecuted for its stupidness.

    He smiled and sat down next to her. "Yeah. And if you fall, you just float away."

    Bat came up behind her, careful to make sure his footsteps were audible so he didn't scare her and make her fall out into that sky. "It's pretty, huh? I could stare at it for... a long time."

    When she opened it, she was greeted with a huge, sprawling expanse of spirals of stars and nebulas. The warehouse floated, unanchored, in a night sky with nothing else in sight--- just stars.

    “Yeah, thanks,” she said, and then sat down in the now- empty unspecified place. — “I dunno. Some random warehouse.”

    I also think that based on his goal of inviting people in as stated in another article, it was probably not a bad idea to include a little bit of those ideas in his work. My personal philosophy is against that sort of thing, but I think it makes sense for his goals in writing and I respect that aspect of it.

    Imma say Rose got left behind cuz I don’t think I decided that Bat laughed. “I’ve never seen her smile like that, I guess.” He leaned against the crate. “I dunno what this place is. It doesn’t make any sense… but it’s really cool. Go look out the door.”
